Why are they not trying to censure Tlaib for refusing to condemn the terrorist act that prompted Israel to go to war with Hamas? Why is it acceptable for her to refuse to acknowledge Hamas as a terrorist group when her own President in her own party says that is what they are?

Tlaib has no business representing the American people when she cannot condemn Hamas that has taken Americans hostage in Israel.

Tough call. The motion was tabled because they didn't have the votes to pass it. (The GOP maintains a very fragile majority in the House thanks to a feckless electorate that refused to give them the majority they needed.)

And I didn't listen to the debate so don't know but I suspect it is a matter of conscience among the dissenting 23 GOP members that censure, as should impeachment, should be reserved for the most grievous of crimes and her views, however vile, did not constitute a crime. Tlaib leading a protest at the Capital, however reprehensible, was no more insurrection or threat to lawmakers than J6 was.

Honor requires applying the same standards of judgment to all.
