The Extreme-Left wins in Greece

Under a SOCIALIST government from 1993-2004 (Papandreou and Simitis), Greece brought it's inflation down to the 4% requirement by Maastricht. The SOCIALIST government of Greece also brought the debt down from 11.5% of GDP in 1993 to 3% as of 2000. These two changed allowed Greece to join the EuroZone. Also, the GDP of Greece rose during this time, the unemployment rate went down, and the rich had to pay some taxes. And the economy of Greece was growing by 4% as of August, 1999, under a SOCIALIST government.

.
How the fuck did you think the debt accumulated? The Greek drachma was tied to the Euro in 2000, and yet you give the socialist credit for inflation and GDP, "SOCIALIST government of Greece also brought the debt down from 11.5% of GDP in 1993 to 3% as of 2000"

You're such a disingenuous prick.
He's a dishonest partisan asshole. And he's on Ignore.

Yeah, right, fake Rabbi. Facts that destroy your partisan hackmanship = the light. You are the moth.
Why the hell do you think the socialist PASOK collapsed along with the Greek economy and replaced with New Democracy? PASOK went from 44% in 2009 to 13% in 2012. It was doubtless the success of socialism.
Scoialism leads to misery, poverty and death everywhere it's been tried. Always. It is too bad people cannot look at what happened in Greece and draw the appropriate inference: an economy built on "protecting jobs" end up costing jobs in the long run, and fails to generate profits and tax revenue to support the state and its citizens.

Tsipras thinks that the EU will not boot Greece because of a ripple effect on other Mediterranean members and the effect on the Euro. I think the German's have weighed the consequences and I think there is precious little room for error.

As a Greek citizen, I certainly hope he understands that.

Many companies have already prepared "Euro exit strategy" plans. The effects will be much less than a lot of people think, and the downside to keeping Greece in the Eurozone is much greater.

Agreed. The money Germany has spent on throwing money at Greece to support decades of a welfare state could have been used for their own needs, given to AIDS-infected Africa or somesuch.

They had a tough time selling the bailout first time around. It took an appearance by Helmut Schmidt declarign the unity of Europe was paramount to sell the idea. This time they wont be willing to bend over to the Greeks.

Already have a thread going in the elections section about this. Wanna merge??

:D

I know there's a thread about the election and it was created before the outcome.

If there's a thread about the outcome, yes, this thread should be merged with it.

If that thread is the one before the outcome, no, it shouldn't be merged because the conversation is different now that we know the outcome.

It's was made after he was declared the winner. I don't care which thread gets merged, but it might be nice to have the data all in one place.

I was planning to publish the end -results at the thread in the Elections section when the final canvasses are in. Voting is mandatory in Greece, but it usually takes a couple of days to get the final numbers.

I went ahead and merged it :)

Helmut Schmidt has not been in power for more than 32 years. He is now 92 going on 93 years old. As a matter of fact, in 2011, the former Chancellor of Germany wrote that if Greece went belly-up, it would NOT be a catastrophe for Europe:

Helmut Schmidt Griechen-Pleite w re keine Katastrophe

He spoke for the bailout, but only half-heartedly, and out of moral grounds.

My Lord, what are you a stupid, stupid, stupid fucking person. It is fun watching you show your ass, fake Rabbi.

It is fun watching you show your ass, fake Rabbi.
I don't care if you're both Jewish, no one really wishes to hear about your homosexual fantasies. Besides, the topic here is Greece.

Just because you think most Greeks are homos like yourself, that doesn't qualify you as an expert on anything regarding Greece, except perhaps the myth of homosexuality. If you want to discuss "doing it Greek" this is not the appropriate thread. Start another one. I am sure you and the resident gays will revel in it, but give us a break.

Statistheilhitler is not Jewish. He posts on Schabbes.
He is probably a homo, and is certainly a poseur. And of course he is totally ignorant but that doesnt stop him.
As for Greece, I anticipate more than a little "Schadenfreude" as we say in Yiddish, watching the people's fortuntes decline as Syiriza institutes its stupid worthless policies and the voters turn against them.

No, dumbshit. Schmidt was not the chancellor during unification. Can't you get anything right, you ignoramus?

You are so fucking stupid l, it is just amazing. I said that Schmidt has been out of power for over 32 ( Thirty-Two) years. 2015 -32= 1983, idiot. Schmidt went out in the Fall of 1982. Damn, you are an unbelievable moron. The Fall of 1982 was 8 years before reunification. You are just plain old sad.

I am without a doubt more Jewish than you. You've also posted on Shabbat. And I'm straight but can imagine you as a polesmoker, to be sure. You are a sorry excuse for a homo sapiens. Now, back to the OP, which is the Greek election. Tsipras has decided to form a coalition with an ultra-right party, not the social democrats. That's important information.

Hell how many times have you posted that Hindenburg was Chancellor during German unification?

I have never even once written on this forum about Paul Hindenburg in any kind connection with the original Unification of 1871. Hindenburg abdicated his position as Chancellor in 1933. You are one insane person. And it's not "Unification", it's Re-unification" (Wiedervereinigung), if you are referring to 1989-1990 , you moron. That is quite obviously the time period you meant when you last unsuccessfully tried to flame me and failed miserably. When confronted with actual facts, you act like a baby. You are like a bird who really, really wants to fly but always has oil in it's wings, always.

Do yourself a favor and learn to actually concentrate yourself on the OP. This thread is about the recent election in Greece, not Paul Hindenburg. I provided some actual information. All you do is bitch endlessly and attack.

The way you act shames real Jews across the world. You know nothing of the real meaning of Tikkun Olam, much less pikuach nefesh. Learn to be a real human being, if you can.

No, shithead.Hindenburg was not responsible for Germany's social system. How often are you going to post wrong shit like that. And your comments on Schroeder were simply ignorant.

Bejeebus, you are as stupid as they come. I never said that Hindenburg was responsible for Germany's social system. Kaiser Wilhelm was, in the 1880s. Damn, you are whacked out. I didn't even discuss Germany's social system on this thread, not even once. Not only that, I didn't even mention Gerhard Schröder, not even once.

But no matter what, your comments have absolutely nothing to do with the OP. You are either insane, senile, stupid, or maybe, all three.

Now, back to the OP, something you apparently cannot concentrate yourself on:

The Extreme-Left wins in Greece.

Did you know that newly sworn-in PM Tsirpas is an atheist and decided to be sworn in without clergy?

You see, I contribute information, and you go on a senile rant about former leaders of Germany. What a stupid fuck you are.
