. You are still talking socialism, as you would like to determine the outcomes of incomes for private companies, and this is being based simply upon your views on life, and not upon what these individual industries can and do offer their employees. We have choices in life to go into any industry or job we want, but we don't get to dictate (after getting into these industries or jobs) their pay grade programs.. Only unless they are not being representative of at least a standard in which we as a government and a nation see as fit to require in that they uphold a decency standard line that shows they aren't engaging in exploitation of their employees, the abuse of their employees, the detriment of their employees, and so forth and so on.That's not the point. Are you really that dense? It's the value of the job. Teachers, policeman and fireman do far more for us than coal miners. The value of a coal miner's job is much less than that of others who are making less; as well, teachers are highly educated and police and fireman are highly skilled and risk their lives. They should all make more, not the same, as coal miners.. Do you want everyone making the same pay like a true socialist/communist does ??They make more than teachers, who hold very skilled positions and who all have 4 year and 6 year degrees. It's absurd. If that is their salary, the coal miners are way over paid.
Today's miners aren't the same as we seen in movies about the '30s. The entry-level jobs in mining are semi-skilled a two-year apprenticeships . Mine engineers are all degree holders.
Compare that to the skill level and education of an entry-level fast food worker.
They make more than police officers ($61,000) and fireman ($47,000). Really absurd that coal miners would make more.
Most employers pay as per tax brackets. So it is the government itself that limits and determine the statistics of pay grades in any industry.n
