You might have to explain to some of these people what "quantitative easing" is, because they're so steeped in Marxism, and capitalism is "da debbil."

They still believe that "government creates wealth" by cranking up the printing presses for months at a time, and using all that money to artificially inflate the market by buying up as much debt as they can.

Another area of confusion is that without a trade surplus the deficit and debt cannot go down but such a surplus cannot guarantee a reduction in either.

Nothing has changed between now and a year ago. This is Obama era economy with Trump spun fanaticism.
