The difference between Communism and Socialism

So you once again say 2= 5 and ask the same stupid question I've answered numerous times and continue to answer with my user title... and you say that Engels is a 'modern day reinvention'... and you're lost when someone points out that since 1869 the Fed now tells they States what powers the possess and the Constitution was thrown out the window.

Yet you claim to be familiar with history and you accuse others of being unfamiliar with the subject matter...

This is where you are mistaken. You only see equaility through socialism it doesn't work that way. If you want to give away your freedoms let me be your dictator. I promise 2 meals a day on a 20 hour work day for 6 days and 8 hours on Sunday. I keep most of your earnings so I can give to the less forunate. That would be me because I need to redo my Capital.

lol

'redo my Capital'?

Not only do you know nothing about socialism, you know nothing about capitalism, either.

At least I am not stupid enough to think that if I live in a socialist system I will have my indivdual rights protected. You will not have any rights except for those given by the State. Anyway I should know what fucking capitalism is I have been living in that type of system for 48 years. and you junior how long have you been around?

What is your comprehension level? Do you have an understanding THE MEANING OF WHAT I AM POSTING?
"When asking how does socialism work, make sure you realize that it works in a way that tends to destroy the precious freedoms and rights Americans currently enjoy"
It's saying that any country that goes down the road of socialism the people of that country almost assuredly lose the individual rights.

you've quoted that again?

You think the truth is laughable? Please explain why so many people were trying theeir damnest to leave the USSR even at the cost of their lives?

like i said reb. the US, cambodia and the USSR are different countries. the US is more socialist than mexico. folks must be fleeing south of the border to mexico by the millions.

the basis of your argument is the dumbest i've seen raised by an adult on the topic. it precludes a real discussion about the state of american capitalism because you're caught in a mccarthian web of ignorance and hypocrisy. were everyone bound by this level of ignorance, maybe mexico would have an upper hand on the US, as you deny the policy which has afforded the US its advantage in the last century or so.

dunno why i bother discussing american history with a 'patriot' who stopped keeping track after the 19th century.

Then this explains why you have no concept as to what socialism leads to. You think America is something special that it will never be like any socialist country that has came before it?
"When asking how does socialism work, make sure you realize that it works in a way that tends to destroy the precious freedoms and rights Americans currently enjoy"

the US is not a pseudo-socialist dictatorship. ?

The US has been practing fascism since, at least, 1913 and is fast heading towards a socialist/communist dictatorship.

.

of course, using your yardstick, the US has been fascist since the declaration of independence.

With the institution of slavery in America and using the word fascism in it's truest form I would have to agree. I would hope we would have learned our lesson by now

3. Soicalism does lead to an authoritarian regime would you want to live in China or Stalins Russia?

Would you rather live in England in 1844, in the age of Capitalism, or today, after socialist reforms?

Would you rather work in a factory in Canada or a factory in China or Bangladesh?
False dichotomies.

I'd rather be a free and independent contractor, rather than someone else's employee....Which, of course, makes people like me the biggest enemy of the authoritarian socialist central planner....A role which I relish.

Having daddy hand you a wad of cash; instructing the butler to lay your clothes out and the chauffeur to drive you to the feed store to buy hayseed to build your straw-men doesn't make you 'a free and independent contractor'

fascism is one of those terms which could be thrown out at as pejorative for nationalism or any sense of group identity by other dissenting groups. i even reject the idea that it's right vs. left wing or precluded by democracy. not a useful descriptive term, really.

You're not in a position to be handing out history lessons to anybody here. Not when you post stuff like this (from another thread) :

Life, liberty, and property were the central, inalienable rights that formed the foundation of the great experiment in self government called the United States of America. The founders of our country never broke apart this sacred triumvirate, because each one of these rights is inextricably bound to the other. No one of these three can exist without the other. Moreover, when all three are secured, it is almost impossible for injustice to exist. Wherever one does find injustice, one invavariably

I found this quote on a website.

Campaign For Liberty

What does an English philosopher have to do with
Life liberty and the pursuit of happness? In no way did the founders of this country believe that a central government was to have that much power. Aftrer all they did fight a war against his country to rid theirself of that kind of thinking.

You don't even know who John Locke is. I learned that shit in high school!

"Constitutional Watchdog" my ass. More like "Glenn Beck lapdog".

John Locke was an English philosopher or didn't you know that do you know where he is buried? Do you know what in the hell you are talking about?

Maybe you should cut back on the beer, or stop snorting gun powder; your brain damage is showing. You asked what an English philosopher has to do with 'life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness'. That you had to ask that question shows you don't know about John Locke.

Again, I learned about that shit in high school.

Again,

The works of Saul Alinsky at it's best will only work on those who do not know how to use them against those who try to use them. Think about that for a second.
My intent of asking the question was to find out what Life liberty and property had to do with life liberty and the presuit of happness? and keep it in the context that the OP was trying to make.

Except I do live in a socialist society (both in the Marxian sense and as the term is used by the SI) and I do have protection of my individual rights (most of the time, though abuses do occur).
You will not have any rights except for those given by the State.

That's been the case since 1869, when SCOTUS betrayed the American people and supported Lincoln's power grab.
Anyway I should know what fucking capitalism is I have been living in that type of system for 48 years.

No, you haven't. You've been living in a nation with a mixed economy. You've never seen unbridled capitalism and you refuse to click the links and see its effects, l;est you see all you've been taught to believe fall apart.

Because the CCCP was an authoritarian bureaucratic collectivist oligarchy imposed by authoritarian revolutionary communists- who tried to kill the Socialists because the socialists had opposed them since the First Congress, with the split between the Bolsheviks and the Mensheviks.

But we already established that you know nothing of history.
