What do you think about squirrels?

I wish I could adopt one. Look at this one :

Do you have others like this one? Let's make it a video thread...

Squirrels are legal to keep as pets and, to my knowledge, no squirrel has ever tested positive for rabies. I've rehabbed quite a few and they're wonderful as babies and a huge pain in the behind as adults. With most of the mammals I've raised, there seems to be an on-off switch that clicks on at a certain age and BAM!, they're wild and unmanageable.

OTOH, I've read of people who had great success with squirrels. Also, when rehabbing, there's no effort made to keep them tame.

Love the grey squirrels we have here. Used to feed em all the time getting em to just about take saltines from my hand. But the managers starting leaving notes on my door informing me it's against apt policy. Every season they set out cage traps to thin their numbers and when I see em part of me wants to go sabotage them, but the part that likes living here just has me close the blinds.

I'm little but I'm a great winner: ( how was this filmed? ) :dunno:

Wow, great video.

Yeah, they're cute but we have one who torments our dog, Roxy. She patrols the backyard and this darn rodent runs along the top of the fence, jumps onto the pear tree and verbally chews Roxy out, then runs along the fence in the other direction, jumps onto the out building roof and yells at the poor dog again. This can go on until I chase her inside when the barking and the verbal assault by the rodent gets too annoying; however, it appears the two seem to have fun since it has been on going for months.
