It was Upton Sinclair's book "The Jungle" that started this government food regulation thing. Had that not motivated the government who knows what we would be eating today.
I have no problem with regulations design to keep our food and drug supply safe.
However Dominos knows exactly how much goes into each pizza on it's menu. They can easily provide the standard information. Forcing them to do it goes beyond food safety and I don't agree with forcing them to comply.
As I proved at the beginning of this, Domino's already DOES provide very complete nutritional information about their food.
I don't have a problem with regulations regarding - for example - sanitation standards, fire safety, building codes, that sort of thing. I believe large companies like Domino's have no particular desire to slack off on that stuff, because I think they want to stay in business for the long haul, but I think it's necessary to be able to impose legal punishments on any unscrupulous people who turn up and want to cut corners.
In the case of posting nutritional info all over the store, I'm afraid I just don't consider that to be of the same importance or require the existence of legal punishments. And since it's noticeably NOT aimed at the sort of small businesses where one is likely to find unscrupulous, fly-by-night sleazeballs, it seems wholly pointless to me.
