The NFL draft saw 12 Bama players drafted. A new school and SEC record.

Want to know how to get on top and stay there? Recruiting the best athletes is certainly a huge part of that. And developing that talent.

In the last 10 years, Alabama has had 77 players drafted by the NFL. That is more than any other program during that time. Recruits want to go where they will have the best chance to make it to the next level.

And it is not just playing ball that they learn. Nick Saban pushes academics hard. That is probably why 22 past and present players will graduate this spring. This includes 5 who are playing in the NFL.

Interesting post, bothered to kind of research it...my team Clemson had 243 players drafted by the NFL in school history .

Losing a lot in the draft is somewhat relative. The effect of the loss depends on recruiting and depth. For example, Alabama lost 10 in the 2017 draft, including 4 first round picks. Then the following you we won a National Championship.

Dabo Sweeney has done some amazing recruiting, and has kept many players expected to bolt for the NFL. I predict Clemson will be back in the playoffs with Alabama. Who the other 2 teams are is up for grabs.

My alma mater is flushing $75 million down the toilet in guaranteed money to Jimbo in the delusional attempt of trying to overthrow that behemoth.

Somebody in the athletic department did a shitty cost-benefit analysis.

Football can be a money maker. But only if you win.

ALA is also the most cheating school in football in the NCAA. Don't forget that part.

Really? Are you referring to events from long ago or are you talking about in the last 10 years or so?

Or are you just going with the standard "Alabama wins so much because they cheat!!!"?
