These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read:

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without
receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody, anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

So, I should be ok with working my ass off, just to have the government take a huge chunk of it and give it to someone who does NOT have to work for it?

OK, elementary teachers....try this IF you dare:

For one week try Socialism in the classroom. Tell the kids up front that everybody is going to be made equal. Each day all grades will be added up, divided by the number in the class and everybody will get the same grade.

The first day things will be completely normal.

Some kids will do very well; some will do well; some will do not-so-well; some will do badly.

The second morning read off who scored what and tell each how much of their grade they lost to equalize the others and congratulate those who did badly on how much their grade was improved.

The results are not always the same.

Most typical is that, by Friday, nobody's putting any effort into anything.

Usually the poor performers are attacking those who used to do better, sometimes physically, trying to convince them to produce!

Now and then it happens the other way but that must be halted immediately because it inevitably results in lawsuits by parents. The parents of the poor performers.

Go ahead, I dare you!

Now, if that doesn't irrefutably prove that Sarah G(angrenous) is one of the more certified Obamarrhoidal Idiots in America, I really don't know what will.

I've got a better one:

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.

Too difficult for Republicans to understand. They prefer Teabirther Bull Shit. Sad.

What, exactly, do you dispute in these sentences? Did you read them or just knee-jerk your response? Methinks the latter.

Oh boy! The non-contextual wit and wisdom of Hairnet. About as relevant as:

"Give a man a blanket and he'll stay warm for the night. Set a man on fire and he'll stay warm the rest of his life."

You do realize, Hairnet, that by cutting off the gubmint dole you are forcing people to start fishing for themselves?

Or is that just too damn obtuse for you?

Yeah, once they learn how to fish, it won't be enough... they will complain they got no place to fish, or that fishing license price is too high. Who's gonna give them fishing poles... hey, you can't teach man to fish and not to give him a boat, uh... forget a boat, a yacht.

What a stupid post. Seriously, it is absolutely stupid. You use an example of what real socialism would be like where everyone pretty much earns the same, regardless of what they do, to our system where we give some of the poor about a $500 to $1500 per month, while the earners keep ten times that, and in many cases, much more. I'm sure you can't see how idiotic the example is, but believe me, it is idiotic.

I understand the frustration seeing some people receive welfare who have zero intention of every trying to improve themselves, and yes, they do suck off the system. But it ain't socialism. And while there are a good number of people who are takers only, there are many more that would love to get off the dole and find a real job that paid them a decent wage so they could get something more out of life.

I tell you what; if you think collecting welfare and living off government handouts is so wonderful, why don't you try it for a while. Hey, as you will point out to all of us, these people have easy lives. Why not join them. Think you would be happy? I highly doubt you would want to be in their shoes. And believe me, a lot of them end up in those shoes through nothing more than bad luck.

And if they can't fish for themselves, they'll just rob you at gunpoint and maybe shoot your ass. Want to see the crime rate quadruple; get rid of all welfare.
