According to The Washington Post, there are 19 other States in the US who have passed "religious freedom" laws similar to Indiana's, however, from the backlash, it seems as if Indiana is the only state in America to pass such a law. People, such as George Takei, the NCAA, Gen Con, and other LGBT organizations are all expressing concerns or demanding boycotts of the Hoosier state. But what these people fail to tell you, or are ignorant of, the fact that 19 other states who have passed similar laws since 1997. However, they are surprisingly silent.

Indiana has come under fire for a bill signed Thursday by Gov. Mike Pence (R) that would allow businesses to refuse service for religious reasons. The NCAA has voiced its concern ahead of Final Four in Indianapolis next week, there are calls to boycott the state, and Miley Cyrus has even weighed in, calling Pence a name that we can't reprint on this family Web site in an Instagram post.

But Indiana is actually soon to be just one of 20 states with a version of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, or RFRA, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Here are those states, in dark teal:

So, why aren't people demanding boycotts of these states? Where were the objections?

Interesting how you would compare these laws to Sharia Law, when radical Islamists do more than pass religious freedom laws, they kill gays, throw them off rooftops. And you're angry at some "religious freedom" laws?

Hi, reality called, it says gays have it far better in America than you realize.

Illinois is on the list? Blue Illinois? This is funny, a friend of mine was whining about Indiana's law and guess where she lives? Priceless

It's quite interesting that nobody wishes to address the other 19 states who have similar laws to Indiana's, why is that? Why the specific outrage at Indiana and nobody else?

Perhaps I am wasting my time here, but hey, silence is just as informative as speech.

Please post a link that proves 'radical Islamists pass religious freedom laws'.

Giving businesses carte blanche to discriminate based on religion - sharia law.

Some time back, one (or more) of you radical RW nutters posted photos of ISIS slime throwing gays off of a roof and said they would do the same to gay posters on this board as well as any other gays they could find.

Our history is full of cases where radical nutters murdered people because of their sexuality. Yesterday, I drove past a demonstration that included signs calling for the deaths of Americans BECAUSE they're gay.

Americans who value our Constitution and our freedoms will fight against these laws that are the exact opposite of what the RWs are calling them.

I have not read every single other law but the Indiana law IS, by definition, sharia law.

Why does one demand the other?

You're obviously ignorant of the Indiana law as it compares to other states' laws.

Don't fall for this specious framing of the argument. The Indiana law has to stand or fall on its own merits. It has nothing to do with what other states have done. It has nothing to do with what any individuals are doing in regards to other states.

It's a logical fallacy to claim that someone does not have a legitimate argument because they are not consistent.

You should know that by now.

Arkansas passed a near twin of Indiana's law yesterday and was sent to the governor for signing. Maybe the loons and homos will run out of states to do business in and inhabit.

Indiana has already been forced, constitutionally, to recognize gay marriage.

This latest nonsense is just some last ditch effort of the suicide bombing deadenders to deny the inevitable.

Then what are you all whining and bawling about? You are you know
