A good ruling by SCOTUS.
Nope, the Bill of Rights is non negotiable as our rights come from the creator not government of manThink of the door they have now opened for a court with a Liberal majority will be able to do. What this court has done is given permission to that new court to erase 100 years of conservatism, and Republicanism.
And erase it will.
First up. The 2nd Amendment.
An administrative stay by the 5th circuit. Barret and Kavanaugh add that they are simply not making a final decison now.
What this forces Teaxs to do, is use state tax payer money for arrest and detain, and it's on their dime to drive, or fly any detained immigrants out of Texas.
Of which, other countries those planes land in, can be turned around on the tarmac, and sent right back to Texas. Of which those countries can then sue Texas for those costs.
Then there are buses at the border attempting to cross into Mexico, of which all of those immigrants that don't have passports, can be denied entry, of which Texas has no enforcement means to make Mexico take them.
It also puts Texas in the position of being held to the law, by not being able to send any immigrants to anyother state. Governors and mayors of any state Texas attempts this should give those immigrants packed lunches after spending the night, and promptly send them back to Texas, and then sue Texas for the costs.
This will become a nightmare for Texas politically, economically, socially, as a pariah state around the world.
Since Texas got the judgement they wanted. Let them bare the full brunt of that judgement, including having to house, feed, and give medical care to all of these new immigrant prisoners they now have the privilege of arresting and detaining.
Texas is getting ready to find out they don't have the resources the federal government does.

/——/ Expect other states to quickly follow suit.So the Court is ceding to TX what was previously federal jurisdiction while preventing states from deciding who is qualified to be on their ballot in favor of federal power. It isn't even giving a nod to settled law any more.
hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahaYeah. Now the problem you have is how much it costs in taxes to house millions of prisoners.
Most cities in Texas have been overloaded already, paying for Biden's lack of enforcement at the border, with Texas taxpayers monies.Since Texas got the judgement they wanted. Let them bare the full brunt of that judgement, including having to house, feed, and give medical care to all of these new immigrant prisoners they now have the privilege of arresting and detaining.
Again, how does this work. You want them to just randomly stop white people and demand what?6-3. Arrest and deport.
For the meantime, Texas has a right to protect their border.
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that it will allow Texas to enforce for now a contentious new law that gives local police the power to arrest migrants.
The conservative-majority court, with three liberal justices dissenting, rejected an emergency request by the Biden administration, which said states have no authority to legislate on immigration, an issue the federal government has sole authority over.
That means the law can go into effect while litigation continues in lower courts. It could still be blocked at a later date.

The law in question, known as SB4, allows police to arrest migrants who illegally cross the border from Mexico and imposes criminal penalties. It would also empower state judges to order people to be deported to Mexico.
