Teens Sue Baseball Team Over 'God Bless America' Ejection

Nope... they want to argue that it was "God Bless America;" and they want to argue such to avoid the certainty that they will lose the case.

They failed to stand for the National Anthem... and got their asses kicked to the curb.

They're liars... nothing more to it than that.

And while your attempt to educate the room on the distinction is hysterical, in at least two contexts and on several levels, it's otherwise irrelevant.

One question, can you fucking read?

NJ teens sue over 'God Bless America' ejection - Yahoo! News

"God Bless America," written by Irving Berlin in 1918, was played at big league ballparks throughout the country when baseball resumed after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, and has remained a fixture at New York Yankees games.

So once again, it was NOT the National Anthem. As much as you'd like to say they're liars, every single media outlet is reporting it as God Bless America. So what the fuck are you smoking? Are you just willfully ignorant because you realize your wrong otherwise?

Here's how it went down...

The kids came home; informed the parents, who immediately saw a chance to 'cash in on the RICH...'

They went to the attorney... explained that the kids didn't stand for the NA...

Strike ONE!

and were summarily kicked to the curb.

Strike TWO!

The attorney, ponders how he might turn yet another dead-horse into a few billable hours...

After a moment he informs his new client that no court is going to sanction a property owner for removing someone for failing to stand and respect the National Anthem; and asks 'was there any other music played in and around the time that they were dispatched?'

To which they replied... 'well they played "God Bless America"...

Strike THREE!

The National Anthem is played BEFORE the game ... God Bless America is played during the 7th inning stretch. If the Clerk is right (:lol::lol:) the boys would have been kicked out LOOOONG before the 7th inning stretch.

YOU'RE OUT!!!!

whereupon those billable hours came pouring into the Attorneys black-heart and a case was born...

Now THAT serves reason... tossing someone for failing to stand to God Bless America, for which there is no custom... does not.

Now if the assertion that "ACCORDING TO THE LAWSUIT" is all ya have... well that pretty well covers it.

We're now getting into Uber Stupid territory with the Clerk.

Did you even bother to read the story? They're being represented by one of the kid's fathers.

Teens kicked out for sitting through 'God Bless America' sue team - MLB - CBSSports.com Baseball

TRENTON, N.J. -- Three teenagers who say they were kicked out of a ballpark for sitting through the song God Bless America claim their constitutional rights were violated and are suing a minor league baseball team.

The boys were asked to leave Newark's Bears and Eagles Riverfront Stadium in New Jersey in June by Bears president Thomas Cetnar. Cetnar confirms the boys were asked to leave but declined to elaborate

EVERY SINGLE NEWS OUTLET has said it was God Bless America. As much as you'd like to think they were thrown out due to the anthem, they weren't.

Now it's your turn to prove otherwise that it wasn't due to God Bless America.

Read it... and all the others... and what it reports is what is in the FILING of the LAWSUIT.

Now it's up to that Attorney to prove why they were dispatched...

There's no basis in reasoning for anyone to kick someone out for failing to stand to a song which comes with no obligation for anyone to stand to it. This in contrast to the eminently reasonable DUTY of every American to hold ANYONE who fails to stand and respect the National Anthem...

You want to assert the filed Pleading as fact... when the only FACT that such represents is THAT SUCH IS WHAT IS FILED IN THE PLEA...

The Clerk has struck out...maybe it's time he hit the showers. Unless he wants to beat up someone for not standing for a song.

God Bless America, the National Anthem, the pledge, a New Kids on the Block song, does it matter for the purposes of the suit? Is there any kind of legal requirement for people to stand during any kind of music or recitation?

We're now getting into Uber Stupid territory with the Clerk.

As a general rule; where one responds to contest an argument and does so absent substantive argument; particularly where the extent of the argument stands upon fallacious appeals... in this case simple ad populum; such a response concedes the argument to one's opposition, by default.

Sweet concession...

A little help? Can someone translate the Clerk's babble? TIA

There is no legal requirement to stand for any of it...

If there were, the story would be of the arrests of those individuals.

There is however, longstanding tradition, in the customary respect for the fallen who have sustained the nation... where the issue is the National Anthem.

Which is why the only reasonable scenario is one wherein the individuals failed to recognize that tradition and respect the custom... despite the LAWSUITS ASSERTION.

DING DING DING! We have a winner! THAT is the entire reason for the lawsuit.

No... the REASON for the lawsuit is to extract money from the owner of the property... you're referring to the BASIS of the lawsuit...

Play word games all you like. We'll see if this is right in the long run. Will be interesting as this unfolds.

Often the failure to mount an valid and sustainable response is due to the intellectual limitations of the respondent...

What we have here is the 2nd of two responses; each clearly hoping to contest the respective position, and each intentionally attempting to do so absent so much as a reference TO the position; much less a substantive countering argument.

That this is the second; which follows the education which was offered to inform te member that to advance such is to concede by default to the opposition... it serves reason that this member is a certified dumbass; with this second and immediately following response representing conclusive evidence of such...

(You're doing great Dumbass... Living up to precisely what is expected of the common dumbass.)

FTR: the Concession advanced by this loser wherein she proves that she has no means to advance a valid contest to the argument to which she opposes, is duly noted and summarily accepted.

Sadly... for you... What is right and true is already established through the incontrovertible reasoning.

The 'word games' things is HYSTERICAL...

This would be a great time for you to open a thread to proclaim that the Ideological Left as the arbiter of all intellectual prowess... which naturally would stand on the assertion that Conservatives are 'anti-intellectual'...

ROFL...

Sweet Concession Roberto...

Ya did the best ya could God bless ya...

Concession? Are you mad (insane)? I just proved you wrong and you say I conceded? Seriously, did you live under power lines or get dropped constantly on your head? :eusa_eh:

Wow. So, here we have the Clerk....who cannot wrap his little mind around an owner kicking people out of a game because they didn't do what he likes ... EVEN THO, this said Clerk ASSAULTED someone years ago for not doing what he liked....this Clerk alters reality enough to imagine that a LAW SUIT would be filed incorrectly, in hopes to fool EVERYONE that it was NOT the National Anthem.

I think we know who the real fool is here. :cuckoo:

I hate to say it, but there is something definitely wrong with his thought processes today.
