I support OWS making occupy sites out of homes in neighborhoods. I support them shitting on doorsteps, leaving rotting food out, harassing people going to work and threatening children on their way to school. I support them when they block off streets and barricade cars in driveways.

I will also fully support the actions of the citizens in tossing them out on their collective crusty asses. It might be the only way.

The problem is, that the Big Banks were involved in fraud and predatory lending with 10s of thousands of home buyers. The banks have hundreds of filed cases against them and the ones that went to court in most cases the cases were ruled against them. The fines the banks paid were pennies on the dollar considering the effect the unlawful acts cost to our economy and the hardship that was caused to their victims.

Like i said,i do feel for these people and i hope they can get some relief from the Banks. But it really is between them and their banks. They bought the homes and agreed to the terms. They are partly to blame. The problem with OWS-types is that they refuse to accept their part of the blame. They just wont accept any responsibility. They're not doing what their parents taught them. They're just trying to blame anyone but themselves. And that's what 'Generation Gimme' is all about in a nutshell. But again,if they want to fight the Banks that's cool with me. I have no reason to defend bankers. But leave the Taxpayers out of it.

Still making assumptions and broad generalizations about something you are not making an effort to really understand, caveat emptor has no place in consumer loans yet here we are writing people off as stupid because they got taken for a ride, The banks knew what they were selling, it's time they were taken to task for their incredible swindle.

Talk about making assumptions and broad generalizations? I never said anyone was stupid or that the Banks weren't at fault. I said the people who bought these homes are partly at fault. They have to accept some responsibilty. They signed the deals,so they have to accept the consequences. If they want to blame the Banks and fight them, that's cool with me. That's their business. But fellow Taxpayers are not at fault and should not be forced to pay for their mistakes. They really should take it up with the banks. At some point you have to accept some responsibility for your life. The nation is broke. The Well has run dry.

It does seem to be tightening up. Looks like we really do have somewhat of a balance in support here.

The nation is not broke, far from it, it's just our priorities are wrong. Our government had plenty of money to bailout the financial sector. If we are broke it is because they made sure that the banks got every penny.

Well once 'Generation Gimme' stepped in and hijacked the Movement, that was it for me personally. Too many in their Movement just want to blame everyone but themselves for their own mistakes. I cannot support that kind of Entitlement attitude. You don't get to demand more Taxpayer Freebies just because your life hasn't turned out the way you wanted. There has to be some personal responsibility in Citizens' lives. They have a problem with big Wall Street Banks, then sue them and try to get some money out of them. I don't have a problem with that. But don't demand the Taxpayers be held accountable for individual problems with Banks. We are broke. The Gravy Train is all out of gravy.

"Generation Gimme", huh?

That's funny.

Tell, me, was it "Generation Gimme" that raided the Social Security fund so they could pay for the bloated defense budget and all the other crap they wasted the money on?

Was it "Generation Gimme" that then raised the payroll tax rate from 3% to 6% in order to pay for the shortcomings, and for the fact that they were too damn lazy to have enough children to cover the costs of their retirement?

Was it the "Gimme Generation" that gave us this ridiculous deficit caused by both outrageous spending and stupid-assed tax cuts for people that are mostly older and wealthy?

No, I believe that was the "Baby Boomers", a generation that I'm thinking you're a part of.

I find it utterly hilarious when people talk about the younger generation like they have some sort of odd sense of entitlement, when it was the older generations that caused all these major problems that the younger generations will inherit, through no fault of their own.

"Generation Gimme", my ass.

How about the "Generation Ass-raped-by-the-Boomers "?

Let's see.

OWS
Drug addicts
crap all over themselves and live in it
likes to have rotting food in their sleeping bags
won't work
demands everything for free
Destroys property public and private
Screams, bangs drums and is a nuisance
advises women who have been raped not to see a doctor

Tea Party
Lower taxes
Leaves sites cleaner than it was when they got there
sings in harmony
destroys nothing
no drugs not much alcohol

Gee it is so hard! I just can't make up my mind.

No. We didn't. We borrowed that money. You don't have money when you have to borrow it.

Well now you're talking about Big Government abuse & corruption. And that is a whole other can of worms. I'm just talking about personal responsibility and accountability. All Taxpayers cannot be punished because some Americans made bad decisions or banks screwed them. They'll just have to take that up with their banks in court. And hey,i hope they do keep their homes and they screw the banks. I'm no cheerleader for the banks.

I'm talking about the entire stinking ball of wax, Our government fell all over themselves to make sure the financial sector was insulated from the worst of the fallout of their actions, but regular Americans must just quit complaining and pull themselves up from a hole they had no part in making and get busy shouldering a debt that benefited no one but billionaire bankers, war profiteers, big pharma and the crooked politicians that serve them.

Can't disagree with you there. That's why i said all along OWS was occupying all the wrong places. They should have been in Washington because that's where all the real problems are.

It's not enough to punish the puppets and replace them with new puppets. The banks must be confronted if for no other reason then they represent an unchecked unaccountable foreign power that is for all practical purposes above the law.

OWS was in just the right place.

The politicians will just continue to ignore them, like they always do, because the Corporations will just fund their campaigns with enough money and good press to make sure they win, like they always do.

One of the main points OWS is trying to address is that Corporations basically own the government. Why would you bring your beef to low-level functionaries, when you can bring it right to the boss?

Ahh, another Ditto-Head.
Glad to see there are so many sheeple out there. Good work!

This is a very rich country. If we didn't have environmentlists controlling the economy we would be much richer. We have a SPENDING problem. Not only do we spend too much but we borrow money to spend more. Stop spending. obama just pledged 50 million dollars more to fight aids in Africa. We don't have it. Stop SPENDING.

It is a very rich country, I agree.

And most of the unnecessary SPENDING goes to programs that protect the interests of the rich.

You know, the roads that corporate goods travel on, the military that invades countries the corporations want to rape the resources of, the schools that train people for corporate jobs.

But the right-wing ditto-heads would have you think that all of our tax money goes to welfare, and that the poor, poor rich folks in this country pay way too much in taxes, and just can't get a fair shake.

Yes $50 Million we don't have. But hey,as long as Bono & Obama are happy. :cuckoo:

I see one vote so far for supporting both. That's interesting but is it possible?

I don't believe so considering the Tea party embraces capitalism and limited government and 80% of OWS supports large government and socialism. Of course you have the intelligent libertarians out there that are just pissed off at Wall Street for some pretty good reasons. The others just envy anyone that has more than they do and feel entitled.

Not to mention all the OWS organizers and funders are anti-capitalists and anti-Tea Party, Bill Ayers, Michael Moore, Susan Serandon (sp) and the rest of the Hollyweird losers..
