My pastor spent a whole day once trying to help a woman who had no place to go. She drove several hours to pick up this gal from a small town and then spent another three hours trying to find a place for her to stay. She drove the woman over to the motel in a town about forty-five minutes from where the church is. The woman told her after all of that "I can't stay in that motel room. It won't do people smoke in motel rooms and I am not staying here." Personally I would have told her bye right then and there but the pastor was more gracious than that. She told her you tell me where you want me to take so I can get this over with and be home with my family tonight.
