Syrian Army downs Israeli aircraft

The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that an Israeli jet and a drone were downed. The aircraft were on a mission to support an al-Qaeda offensive in southern Syria. After the IDF denied the aircraft were hit the Syrian Air Defense confirmed that the aircraft were downed.
The decision to counter the Israeli aggression is righteous and and appropriate.

Both agreed that Israel attacked a Syrian military position around 1 a.m. But Syria's state-run SANA news agency said its military responded by shooting down an Israeli warplane and a drone. The Israeli Defense Forces said Syria fired two missiles, but that its aircraft "were not harmed."

Not only do we not know if there is a legitimate ruling body in Syria, we do not even know the basest of details such as if the Israeli pilot and drone operator weren't drunk, strayed off course and in actuality never even crossed the imaginary border line into Syria. They may have been boozing it up, celebrating the Israeli long-awaited hope of lawlessness in Al-Assad's country. That is all courtesy Obama and Bush. Bush started the whole damn thing, and Obama set it in cement by invading Libya: the last line of defense against marauding Al-Qaeda. I will admit it was not a long enough border to keep them from physically progressing East, but at least with Khadafy in command and control, the Eastward spread of terrorism would have been greatly impeded. Obama pulled the wool over all our eyes, in the name of humanitarianism, whenever even a two-year-old could figure out, Khadafy was not killing predominantly his own citizens, but like I said, the growing cancer of terrorism. And we foolishly groaned in sympathy... for stinking anarchist terrorists. That was the REAL justification for bringing so-called order to Libya. And just the same as Obama's faint-hearted excuses, IMO Bush also knew exactly what the REAL justification was, as he knew all too well there were no WMD'S in Iraq.

Once Libya was a wide open frontier for belligerence, there was with no doubt, no hope of keeping terrorism from spreading to Syria. I made a similar comment to this one only months after we, in essence, assassinated Khadafy. It all does not bode well for strong and reliable leaders in any third world country now, while every prospective leader knows full well that, if his country does not live up to American standards, they too will be killed or mysteriously deposed.
