On the day he was killed, Rosenbaum had been released from a Milwaukee hospital. The jury was told that much, but not why he had been admitted — after a suicide attempt.

The first man shot and killed by Kyle Rittenhouse on the streets of Kenosha was acting “belligerently” that night but did not appear to pose a serious threat to anyone, a witness testified Friday at Rittenhouse’s murder trial.

Jason Lackowski, a former Marine who said he took an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle to Kenosha last year to help protect property during violent protests against racial injustice, said that Joseph Rosenbaum “asked very bluntly to shoot him” and took a few “false steppings ... to entice someone to do something.”

Lackowski got up from the witness stand and demonstrated what he meant by “false stepping.” He took a small step and slight lurch forward, then stopped.

But Lackowski, who was called as a witness by the prosecution, said he considered Rosenbaum a “babbling idiot” and turned his back and ignored him.

You've heard of "suicide by cop" where someone brandishes a firearm at police in the hopes that police will kill them?

Looks like Rosenbaum went around to openly armed militia members and tried to get them to shoot him. One militia member said Rosenbaum taunted him, but he turned his back on Rosenbaum.

Sound plausible?

Sounds immaterial. This is just an attempt to justify why Rittenhouse should not have defended his own life.

BTW, Rittenhouse drove 21 miles to Kenosha. How far did Rosenbaum drive?

Yes, you identify strongly with the child rapist and not the young man trying to prevent the destruction of a friend's livelihood.

I think most people already knew that.

The trial is over. Rittenhouse is a free man.

I'm looking for Rosenbaum's motivation.

BUT HE DIDN'T CROSS STATE LINES!?!!! -all liberals

Rittenhouse was thinking the rifle would keep people at bay.

It drew a crazy man like a moth to a flame.

Sound plausible?

Fine. . . let's say it sounds plausible.

SO WHAT?!

We have heard about, "suicide by cop,". . . does that mean cops should be indicted for murder, or not be justifiably let off on self-defense as well? :dunno:

It isn't the job of anyone to let maniacs or the insane attack them. Obviously, this is a failure of the state, and you want to make this an issue of either gun control, or have the right of folks to defend themselves revoked?

That isn't going to happen. Not as long as we still have jury trials and the tradition of common law in this nation.

Yep, but a dumb ass 17 year old, wouldn't spot the difference in a real threat and a false threat.

Are you saying he should have been locked up? We don't do that anymore because the powers that be want them on the streets.

Perhaps the papers are a few days late where you are. He was indicted. He was tried, and the jury found him innocent. It was all over the news.
