Why do so many international jet-setters, European diplomats, venture capitalists, and other well-heeled travelers stay at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.?

Could it have anything to do with the fact that it’s just better than virtually every other hotel in town?

What the Left doesn’t want to talk about.

According to Forbes, London has only 13 five-star hotels; Paris has 11; New York City has 10; and Hong Kong and Los Angeles are tied at seven apiece.

Washington, D.C., trails them all—badly. Our nation’s capital can claim only two five-star hotels: the swanky Four Seasons in Georgetown and the Trump International Hotel in the very heart of the city.

What does it take to earn a Forbes five-star rating? Nine factors: topnotch room service, beautiful beds, distinctive drinks, supreme service, memorable meals, thoughtful turndown of linens, helpful housekeeping, staff that expresses a genuine interest in guests, and exceeding expectations.

So, is Forbe strokinng the Trump people? Try this:

If you don’t want to believe the Forbes ratings, how about those done by U.S. News & World Report? That magazine awards five stars to nine hotels in Washington—and, yes, one of them is the Trump International.

It would seem to me that, if one travels the world First Class, they’re not about to seek lodging at a Holiday Inn. And then comes the following:

In 2013, three years before Trump was elected president, the General Services Administration signed a 60-year lease with the company. As a result, the government went from losing $6 million a year to gaining $3 million a year in rent. That’s a $9 million swing, a big net plus for taxpayers.

A pretty big plus for taxpayers.

BS, its corruption plain and simple. They stay at tramps hotel in DC and same reason Barr is hosting a 30,000 Xmas party at his hotel.

He knew he was running for president in 2013 and Putin told him he would help him win. What do you think we are stupid.

Someone else would of bought it.

Jack St. John, acting general counsel at the General Services Administration, has been appointed to assume his position on a full-time basis.

He will lead the 130 attorneys under the agency's Office of General Counsel, and will conduct chief legal advisory duties to the GSA head, the agency said Tuesday.

He will also continue to guide GSA Administrator Emily Murphy on how to identify agency priorities and boost policy implementation, and advise on regulation in his capacity as the designated agency ethics official.

St. John joined the agency in January 2017 as senior White House advisor, and was later appointed in March of that year as GSA chief of staff.

He then assumed the concurrent, additional role of acting general counsel in October 2017.

Prior to joining GSA, St. John practiced law in Alabama.

tramp put his man at the head of the GSA

In response to the IG report, GSA General Counsel Jack St. John said the inquiry “found no undue influence, pressure, or unwarranted involvement of any kind by anyone, including the Executive Office of the President and the Office of Management and Budget.” St. John also noted that the report “does not find that any constitutional violation occurred.”

The GSA leased the historical landmark to Trump in 2013, two years before he kicked off his presidential campaign. But after Trump became president, the IG said, GSA lawyers should have determined whether the arrangement was a violation of the emoluments clauses.

The attorneys general of Maryland and Washington, D.C., filed a lawsuit in federal court in 2017 alleging that the lease amounts to a constitutional violation, and Democratic lawmakers have backed the effort amid concerns that foreign diplomats and other officials were using the hotel to curry favor with the Trump administration.

But it was okay for the Clintons to ask for cash for people to stay in the Lincoln Bedroom.

All that and the fact that their Govts. or someone else is paying for it. Hell I'd stay in a Trump tower if someone else picked up the bill. LOL

It’s no different than foreigners donating to the Clinton Foundation.

If the Clintons owned a 5-star hotel, and foreign diplomats stayed there, Trump’s worshippers would be braying to lock her up.

Where do libs expect diplomats to stay? At the Motel Freaking Six next to Dulles Airport?

If John Kerry had won, would his old lady been expected to cut off shipments of Heinz brand ketchup to foreign powers to avoid "corruption"? Of course not.

What do libs think about the WH Correspondents Association dinner NEVER being held in the Trump International facility?

Not even once, even though its basically in the shadow of the WH?

Makes me think that their partisanship to boycott such a top tier facility borders on not just corruption, but a step beyond that , Total Depravity.

They know how to get on Trumps good side
Stay at his hotel and tell him how great it is

You could see Zelinsky do it in his phone call with Trump
You want military aid, butter him up on how great his hotel is

Kerry is a Dem - Dems are literally not expected to follow any rules or laws that they want others to.
