100% on Biden no matter how redacted this report is to try and save him
The actual report reads like trump said we should be out by May 21, but State Department dragged ass around, thier priorities not in line with that deadline. It reads like Biden extended the deadline to Sept 11 and the State Department dragged ass around, their priorities not in line with that deadline. Part of the blame was laid with Covid. All I can say is "Oh please! Spare me the Bullshit. Part of the problem was that the later date encompassed transition stateside for Embassy personnel, that would be finishing their 1 year tour. Bullshit again. They could have just ordered them to extend during the pullout, as we were pulling out. The State Department did not anticipate the fall of Kabul. OK, it looks like State Department fkd up. That covers points 1-4 of the planning critique. Point 5 was a coordination between the military and the State Department. On the military side, if the order is to pull out on a certain day, on that day, they are outta here, and state should have been preparing and coordinating, as the military was going to be leaving, and they should long before been reducing staff and transitioning the hell out, starting the day Trump set the date, before Biden gave them the additional three and a half months. Some much for point number 5.

Pre-Crisis Contingency Planning and Execution
6. State Department's contingency plans were crap. Blinken Fkd up.
7. State Department placed Kabul on Order Department status after the end of April, after Biden date gave them additional three and a half months, when they should have been in Order Department status starting after Trump's deadline was announced. He might not have been much, but he was the President, and those asshole worked for him or should have and should have planned based on that agenda. But, THEY DIDN'T.
8. At the State department "some argued for more urgency in planning for a possible collapse". It looks like they were right and Blinken was wrong.
9. "U.S. military planning for a possible NEO had been underway with post for some time, but
the (
State) Department’s participation in the NEO planning process was hindered by the fact that it
was unclear who in the Department had the lead
." State Department could not decide who was in charge on their side to coordinate with the military? You gotta be fkin kidding me! Biden's mistake was Blinken in leadership position.

Failure to properly plan and coordinate in planning to fail. We are lucky it turned out so well, with the only people killed was by a suicide bomber. Our military took that loss. They are always the ones to take those kinds of losses. If State Department had taken the withdrawal seriously when Trump set the date, there might not have been the mad dash at the end.

Here is a link to the real report.

Three years later the state department finally came to the same conclusion the drive through worker knew the moment it happened. Fucking government right on top of things as usual.

Always loved the idea that knowing that the next big Neocon war would be in Khazaria , the ordnance was left handy for shipping over there . Has a ring of high probability, but , Who Knows ? It was presumably assumed that CIA contacts would work with their Taliban pals to sort logistics with all making enough to retire on or buy some more camels .
