This is tongue in cheek folks. It's a parody of what extremist views run amok, can lead to. Someone else started a thread stating that Democrats are all Socialist. Did he back it up with specifics? Cite sources? Even bother to define what "Socialism" is or what he means by it? Nope.
But I will. Ironically, the biggest Nazi Party in America is not the American Nazi Party but rather, The National Socialist Movement - which is 100% Nazi. What are their stances on the issues?

Nazis are violently opposed to Obama - no matter what he does. Just like ConservaRepubs & Libertarians.

The Nazis blame America's problems on illegal immigrants - even problems that are obviously unrelated. Just like ConservaRepubs & Libertarians.

The Nazis want the "Papers Please" policy throughout the US. This is the one, galvanizing political issue which is giving the large and smaller Nazi groups momentum. Just like ConservaRepubs & Libertarians.

The Nazis want the government to have control over killing the living (i.e. death penalty)but they also want the government to have control over a woman's body (i.e. they are for overturning Roe v. Wade). Just like ConservaRepubs & Libertarians.

The Nazis are VERY into the Right to Bear Arms - even auto weapons, or in bars or on school grounds. Just like ConservaRepubs & Libertarians.

The Nazis are very clear that America is a Christian Nation. JuJust like ConservaRepubs & Libertarians.

The Nazis are offended that any language other than English is used in businesses etc... let alone schools. Just like ConservaRepubs & Libertarians.

They hate Jews most but ... The Nazis hate Muslims, consider ALL of them to be a threat to America and whether they have ever known one personally or studied the Koran, they claim to "know" what it is all about. Just like ConservaRepubs & SOME Libertarians.

The Nazis feel that homosexuality is either a choice or a "disease" that should be cured or eliminated. Obviously not people who should the rights of "Normal" people.

Now guess what? I know lots of Conservatives who are very fine, loving, hard-working compassionate people. I dont believe Conservative are Nazis. But as opposed to the extremist who label all LibDems as being socialist, I can cite several local chapters and candidates from the GOP AND Libertarian parties who agree with all or almost all of these...... Nazi positions.
It doesn't mean they're Nazis. Any more than LibDems are Socialists.

Okay now just stop. My view of Conservatives is like this: They cherish the values that made our country great. Even though the world is changing, there is room for preserving the things that made us great in the first place. They hold dear the principles that the Founding Fathers risked their lives for. All of this is a good thing. The only time there is conflict, is when it is taken to the extreme and excludes any new ideas / progress as being "Socialists" or whatever.

The left, taken to its natural extreme is communism. Conservatives generally dislike the whole concept of communism.

The right, taken to its natural extreme is either Fascism - which Conservatives generally dislike as much as communism. Or it's other natural extreme is anarchy. Anarchy is not really a good idea either. The Constitution was supposed to provide Americans with as much freedom as possible, without the country descending into anarchy.

Democrats and Socialism have a long history of coexistence. In fact, if I recall correctly, many Democrats/Socialists/Progressives supported Hitler. I think your thread failed before it got started because you do not properly understand the terms here.

A Socialists believes that the government should supply non public goods.I would love to explain the difference between a public and a non public good, but it is a little hard to pin down without citing examples. The Nazis were actually socialists, and, if not for their racism, would have loved Obama.
