The change is likely due to the fact so many thousands of people have simply left Venezuela to find jobs and food elsewhere.
It's still beyond understanding that we have "people" in this country who want to go down the same route with the same asinine economic policies. We really need to restrain our libturds.

As Venezuela's economic crisis had deepened, she and her husband had been struggling to feed their beloved black and white schnauzer. Their collective salaries - hers as a schoolteacher and his as a nurse - equaled no more than $10 a month, barely enough to cover meals for themselves and their two children.
