Across large swaths of the country, disability has become a force that has reshaped scores of mostly white, almost exclusively rural communities, where as many as one-third of working-age adults live on monthly disability checks, according to a Washington Post analysis of Social Security Administration statistics.

Disabled, or just desperate? Rural Americans turn to disability as jobs dry up

and if the GOP strips these poor pilgrims of their health care they'll be looking for even more help

maybe Trump should set-up Caddy U. and give these folks some skills?

The time period cited in your link runs through 2015. There were no Trump voters yet.
Guno says he wants his white gerbil back and says it better not be brown again.

who did this demographic vote for, Hillary or Trump?

have you actually seen the election results?

As long as the left keeps the entitlements going, people will always take advanrage of them. It's simply human nature. If there's a program that hands out money, people will use it.

People start out being too proud to accept handouts, but once they try them, they quickly justify them too themselves, and in time even believe that if the handouts end, they are being stolen from them.

This is the society that the left has brought us to, where a huge percentage of the population are on the government dole, and it will only grow as the left add more programs.

There will come a day, where ALL Americans demand more and more, like addicted drug users.

Disability payments are not a "handout" in any way shape or form.

They are when the person is not truly disabled.

Red states are by far the largest takers of federal welfare. They also contribute far less to the US treasury than the blue states so its no surprise that Republicans in these various states, the ones that have bad jobs or no job, are being squeezed by the very people they elected in their states and in the federal government.

It is no secret, the Republican party is great at getting people to vote against their own best interest. That entire party and its following is a huge Stockholm Syndrome ponzi scheme.

That crap has been debunked numerous times

According to our 'Conservatives' they are. The 'Conservatives' believe such people should just die.

Federal Taxes/Aid Comparison:
If the Republican Party is against one thing, it is welfare and the redistribution of wealth—at least, that is what they say on the campaign trail. In reality, conservative states tend to be the largest recipients of federal tax dollars, while more progressive states tend to contribute the most to the federal coffers.

I don't know about that.

SSDI is a program that forces most workers to buy insurance by paying the government 12.4% of their income. That's a big chunk taken off the top of their paycheck. If a worker becomes disabled then they collect the insurance money.

Implying that disability payments are a "handout" is like saying that if your car gets wrecked you are getting a "handout" when the insurance company sends you a check.

People like the OP Johnny Sadsack are simply ignorant regarding the concept of insurance. But then, I doubt that the OP has ever had a job in his life so he wouldn't notice the deduction off a paycheck. He seems like the type who is a societal leech.

As I've said, set up social handouts, and people will hold their hands out.

The left built this system, and are hypocrites if they now complain who uses it.

Too bad you didn't get a decent education. You know - like in Critical Thinking. But alas and alack, that's another thing the right is against.

Considering what the previous admin did to their economy through 2015, as pointed out in the link, they'd be foolish to not vote for Trump. Duh.

You are so logic-challenged.
Fiscal conservatives create the capital that rich white lefties thrive on.
Democrats should not be allowed to vote.
