SHOW me one developed first world nation that uses libertarian economics

If both chambers of Congress would work together, guess what: things would work.

Democrats always come up with new fangled visions. Now pay attention to this part - this means that they used to hold older viewpoints. To adopt a new viewpoint you must abandon an old one.

If Democrats only agreed with Republicans, that is, if they simply adopted older viewpoints, then matters would improve.

Democrats used to be opposed to abortion and they used to think people advancing the notion of homosexuals getting married to each other were bonkers. Lots of things like this show Democrats abandoning sensible positions and adopting fringe positions.

If Democrats just agreed with Republicans then there wouldn't be any division.

That's what you meant right, that Democrats should agree with Republicans rather than the reverse, for that formulation just doesn't make any sense at all.

The United States used to be during the years of its greatest economic expansion. So I would say the USA. Now, since the communist insurgency of the 1960's that has changed, but we can only hope its not too late to save America from liberals who want to destroy it.

This was covered previously.

The U.S. circa 1880 was as close to Libertarian as anyone has been able to come up with.

And only folks who know absolutely nothing about history want to return to that.

1880's saw Andrew Carnegie perfect production of the steel that would build America...states still had power and were ending child labor...women could vote in almost every state...Blacks could vote in almost every state...US victorious in war with Spain and for first time since Civil War the nation was united again...people went to church and nobody was getting divorced...immigrants came to US legally and were needed. So what was so bad about it?

No internet.

Libertarianism: see America 1787-1928:massive economic growth.

Democrat Party vision for USA: see Greece right now.

Singapore is one of the world's richest nations and is economically largely, though not completely, libertarian. Economic freedom is its cornerstone.

Yep, nothing screams "libertarian" quite like canning people for possession of chewing gum.

I've seen canned fruit, canned vegetables and even canned meat.
I've never see canned people.

Sure you do.

They are called "libertarians".

That's bullshit.

The government was directly involved in expansionism. That shoots the whole post right down.

Often it was. And people who hail libertarianism as a vehicle for economic growth are missing the point. It might be. It might not. It depends on what people freely decide to do with their time and money.

USA 1921-1928

The Roaring Twenties

Hoover and FDR went Keynesian and gave us a Depression worse than the 7 Biblical Lean Years

Hoover was a Republican and not progressive at all...

Hoover did the New deal you numbnutz... FDR expanded it.

The Hoover New Deal of 1932

There is a theory that there are an infinite number of universes, which would mean that somewhere, anything that COULD happen, IS happening.

There is also a theory that portals between these universes open and shut, occasionally. The above post, coming from such an alternative universe, is proof of both theories!

Libertarian economics does not exist. What is it? Libertarians for the most part subscribe to free market capitalism. For example Libertarians believe one should be able to sell his pot to anyone within the borders or outside the borders of America. LOL

And then you give an example of libertarian economics.

Libertarian economics are simply the logical corollary of libertarian ethics.

Libertarian economics are fundamentally flawed.

The concept of 'libertarian economics' is nonsensical - there's no such thing. Just like the concept presented in OP is nonsensical. Libertarians would never create a world power of the sort Matthew wants to live in. So his demand that supporters of libertarianism show him such a nation is silly pose, and nothing more.

How about you describe the ideal nation sane libertarians would want to live in.
