Computers don't make dumb posts, posters do.

Some of you need to carry smaller thumb drives.

I think computer manufacturers should be held liable for stupid things people do with computers too.

computers can be used for horrible crimes...sex trafficking, child porn, cyber bullying, stealing state secrets, identity theft......

Since computer criminals who are felons often are not allowed to have access to computers...should all computer sales require a background check? It only makes sense..right....?
guns are designed for the purpose to maim or kill that is what they are design for, but then again you pray to statues and cannot expect any logical thinking from you

Computers are suppose to make people smarter and help them. How did you fail so terribly?

I voted no. 99.999999% of computer buyers are just like you and me. Plus many buy them online. Would be hard for a background check that way.
We start that and we may as well get background checks on every single thing we buy.

And that is the rub, isn't it.....and exactly where the anti gun left is taking us....

True. BUT I do agree with the background (which we already do have on place) for guns. No one is going to kill me with a computer. But, they sure could with a gun...if I happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time...

I see where you are going with this though.

Look....I will settle for current federally mandated background checks, but they need to be made faster and paperless....

You seem reasonable so I will ask you....

Since criminals get around background checks by using someone with a clean record to buy the gun for them, or they just steal the gun.....how do background checks do what you believe they do....?

And also, almost every mass shooter out there passed one or more background checks to buy their guns...since they didn't have prior criminal records...including the Orlando shooter...and those who couldn't pass the checks...stole their guns or bought them illegally....

Do you see why we don't respect background checks that much?

Wrong, again. Guns were created to preserve the life of the user......either for hunting or defending them against attackers.

Guns in this country are used for self defense 1,500,000 times a year...according to bill clinton's department of justice, and the majority of those times they are never fired...

Police have guns and the majority of police officers will never fire them in the line of duty ...and yet their mere presence, without being fired, ensures the safety of the community...

Soldiers have guns and most soldiers will never fire their rifle....and yet we are preserved from attack every day...they keep the peace...

You have now been shown how wrong you are.

I didn't say I respected background checks. And I definitely see where you are coming from. But, I don't want to see good law abiding citizens penalized either. Criminals are going to get guns no matter what laws we have in place.
And we do (and should IMO) have the right to defend ourselves.

As far as background checks to buy a computer, I think that is asinine.

Other than that.......I do not have the answer...and do not mind admitting it.

Background checks on would-be computer buyers should be required only at the time they apply for a license to blog professionally. And make no mistake, if The Democrat Party wins in November some of you will be shelling out big time for those licenses and they'll only be awarded after about 8-hours of indoctrination "classes".

Why "some of you"?
