Why would Liberals want to hurt our only real ally in that fucked up, but strategically important area of the world...for the offense of trying to destroy a terrorist organization.

The Israelis are the only civilized people over there, and they are responding to:

1) Daily bombardment with rockets over most of the nation; and

2) An intricate maze of tunnels running into their Homeland which have no use other than to carry out terrorist raids.

The response is to go to war to defend itself. No sane person would say they don't have a right to defend themselves by just that: going to war.

The objection is that civilians are getting killed.

I suppose it's true to say that there are times when Israel's and America's interests are the essentially the same. Those times are relatively easy because no real choice is involved. When America supports Israel, we are also supporting our own interests.

It's in those times that it's a good idea to take a look at the citizens of this country who see themselves as patriots.
