Did he perform as expected, as he should have during his time at The Bush Administration?

Did he do a good job?

If so, please explain...

My oft stated position is that no one associated with US war fighting actions should be pleased with himself post 6 August 1945.

So the OP's goon leader has weakened our national security and stature in the world, so the piece of shit starts this smoke and mirrors thread as a distraction to Russia being on the verge of invading Ukraine because Obama is a limp dick pussy that gave Putin the green light since day 1 in office.

Go fuck yourself...

Brings up what Obabble meant when he said to the Medvedev that he would have more flexibility post election. Did that mean he would be able to bend over and receive more of Putins shaft?

Military generals do the best they can.

Rummy was a "Military general"?
Actually Rummy extended the war from the very beginning when he chose to send a downsized force from what was recommended by at least two generals. Of course those generals got fired, the war went on way too long until someone finally got an idea, "let's add more troops and call it a "surge"". If they had used the "surge" numbers in the beginning, the war in Iraq would of been over much earlier because the US finally gained control of Iraq. How many troops died because of Rummy's miscalculations?
So, in two words, "Rummy sucked"!

Putin bitch-slapped The Shrub, aka G.W. Bush during his time and the Republicans were lock, stock and barrel in full-support of Bush at the time stating that there's nothing the US could do about it.

See: Flashback, 2008: When A Russian Invasion Made Fox News Shrug

What did The Shrub do...?!?!? Bush turned around and said he looked into his eyes and saw his soul or some other such nonsense.

All you CHICKENHAWKS were licking Dubya's toe-jams during this time.

Go BLOW it out your what-said-not!!!

All those warmongers are in the same class and classification up on high of the command. I wouldn't have noticed a general from a Joint Chief when I was in the military. I only have to salute them. That is all I care for.

Of course Rumsfeld is pleased with himself. He made millions of dollars off of mass murder, and has still been able to get away with it.

If he dies a free man, then the blame is on society.

I was a linguist, and then I spent time in the 4077st Transportation Squadron at F.E. Warren AFB.

Rumsfeld knew how to control the dumb-shit monkey in the White House...

Hmm Rumsfeld or Hagel? Yeah, that puts it in perspective right there.
Rumsfeld is one of the most accomplished Sec Defs in history. Both the youngest and oldest man to hold the job.
Did he make mistakes? Probably. But I can't see Chuck No Responsibility Hagel carrying out anything remotely comparable to what Rumsfeld pulled off.

God these OP's bore the crap out of me. If you have an opinion, state it and defend it. This playing off of what other people post is just lame.

I was the base taxi driver and delivered dinner to a Command Post once. Were you in there? j/k I was there in 1979/80.

I grew up with a friend also called Mark who spent 29 years in the Air Force and started out as an Aerospace Tracking and Warning specialist. He watched for almost 20 years for the missiles that were under that control. His last 10 years of assignment were with NASA, and he said that he was a satellite geek, ending as a Senior Master Sergeant.

I loved Warren and Cheyenne. A friend of mine who was in the OSI went with me many times to get high, driving around there. We had a ball. Good times.
