‘Shoot the President’ party game at local performing arts center raises concern

Oh please, you couldn't criticize DumBama's ugly wife without you yahoos jumping up and down screaming racism.
If I called Melania a stinky, inbred slovakian cracka, you could accuse me of racism. That was the typical level of criticism the right targeted Mrs. Obama with.

Yes, if you used the word cracker. That is a derogatory word of whites by the blacks. However nobody even had to mention race about fat ass, and you on the left were calling it racism.

Is it a concern? Yep. Is it hard to take seriously from a guy whose pic is a guy pointing a gun at you? Yep.

Yah........ I was thinking of changing it some time ago, but the avatar pisses off liberals so badly it's simply too much fun to change it.

I guess you have to decide if your goal is to persuade people of the importance of your point or if you are just trying to get a response.

I'm not here to persuade anybody. I'm here for discussion of politics and issues. I can get my message across just fine while at the same time, irritating my adversaries.

BEREA, Ohio -- A popular performing arts building is advertising a kid`s birthday party where participants can play "Shoot the President" with Nerf guns and it’s raising more than a few eyebrows in Northeast Ohio.

The game was being advertised at Olmsted Performing Arts building in Berea.

A description of the party listed on the website states, “There is one president with body guards. Everyone else tries to eliminate or shoot the president.”

“I think it’s unfortunate that they chose that kind of theme only because of the atmosphere we are living in now,” said Julie Berghaus, of Cleveland.

“I wouldn’t say it was anything political or a statement about politics. I think the game was made up just for kid fun,” said Samuel Fravel, a former OPA student.

Only one question here: How many of you on the left would say this would be contained locally if the event were held during DumBama's term and not Trump? Racism, bigotry, promoting hate? Not when it takes place during a Republican presidency. Think this will make it to national news? Let's give it a few days (or weeks) and find out.
Yeah, that's probably not such a great idea.

Poor taste too but that's kinda the way of the world at the moment.

Incredibly poor taste, I have 0 use for the guy but he is president and this is in bad taste no matter who it would be.

I agree. It is in poor taste and unmitigated idiocy.

Thank you for your honesty, but I was pointing out the double standards of the media at the same time. On a national level, it's only tolerated because Trump is currently the President. For all we know, things like this are going on locally all over the country and not reported.
Folks were burning President Obama in effigy and such so I don't think you get to pin it on one party.

And when it happened, it was only reported locally?

You know this actually is very complicated.
While I am very leftest, I don't think Trump is being treated at all fairly.
But then again, almost all our presidents are less than honest.
They all lied, killed innocent people, etc.
So then actually the idea of practicing getting ready for armed rebellion is not really that bad of an idea.
It is going to have to happen eventually, regardless of how long we put it off.
And its not partisan.
Clinton signed the federal crime bill of 1994, and that alone was valid reason for armed rebellion.
The federal government is not authorized to conduct a War on Drugs like that,
The repeal of Glass-Steagall also was pretty much criminal.
So while forever hopeful that things will get better, the reality it they likely will get worse instead, and think of those half million innocent Iraqis who would still be alive if we had rebelled before Bush murdered them?
So this is not such a simple call.
Do we want to enforce an artificial respect for presidents who do not really deserve it, or not?

It would take quite a lot for this country to arm up and rebel against the government. It would be no contest and all you would end up doing is getting imprisoned, injured or killed. In this instance, that's not my concern. My concern is giving kids the idea that killing leaders is fun and games; perhaps one of these kids have mental problems and may grow up to try and do exactly that. You never know.

But being from the left, don't you find it ironic that the left wants to disarm society, but has no problem with places doing things like this?

No leftest would ever want to disarm anyone.
Back in the Civil Rights days of the 60's and 70's, the goal of leftests were to get guns so that vigilantes could not just kill people, like what happened to those 3 civil rights activists murdered in 1954, Mississippi, Chaney, Goodman, and Schwerner.
Gun control is coming from the Clintons and their group of banker and Wall St. backed infiltrators that have taken over the democratic party. And it most definitely NOT at all leftest. No leftest would ever be paid $150 million to speak to bankers about how to bank.

contrast that with numerous grade school and middle school kids being suspended for pretending their fingers were a gun and aiming it. another was suspended for doing the same with chewing his pop tart to look like a gun at school lunch time.

Leave it to some Fruit Loop - some performing arts LibTard - to dream-up such Supreme Idiocy.

The bitch(es) [ male or female ] should be arrested by the US Marshal's office or the Secret Service on a charge of conspiracy and incitement.

Shutting down the event(s) and designating the facility as a Crime Scene, causing it to shut down for the duration of the investigation.

Parents who allowed their children to attend should all receive Questioning Visits from the Secret Service - at their places of employment.

Then, if (as seems likely) the investigation clears the performing-arts twits of such charges, everybody gets kicked loose again.

That ought to sucker-in the Left-leaning elements of the mainstream media. :21:

This concerns me also. No matter the situation we are a nation of laws and these type of threats must stop. If you disagree with an elected official it is to be taken care of at the voters booth or the courts. PLain and simple.

I don't know if I'd go that far, but what I would like to see is some fair coverage of something like this when we have a Republican President. Not that I'm saying only a Republican President as a Democrat President getting national coverage would be an automatic.

To be honest, I might be a Democrat today if it was the same party as the 50's and 60's. The 70's is when it started going to hell.

Democrats don't care about guns so much. What really bugs them is people being able to take care of themselves. The Democrat party relies on victims and government dependents. Without those two groups, the only time you'd hear of the Democrat party would be in history books. So for them, it makes sense to create as many people in those two groups as possible.

So if they ever get the capability to disarm the pubic, the only people out there with guns would be the bad guys and the cops. That would make every law abiding citizen a victim which fits right into their plans. And how do you combat big crime? The same way they combat Big Oil, Big Pharma, Big Business, and that is with big government.

Democrats would be fine with guns if it was against the law to use them for self-defense. After all, if we could all take care of ourselves, who would need Democrats around?

You know I’m thankful for Trump. I used to think racists like you were a relic of the 60’s. He has made it obvious that fact isn’t the case by allowing people like you to feel free to voice their real thoughts.

I’m good with it. I’d be more approving is ALL potus pictures were up there as targets

They did much the same thing when W was potus.

I think it was worse with him. Somebody actually designed a video game where the goal was to kill GW. They made a cartoon series to mock the guy. And let's not forget Michael Morecrap's movies about him.

Yeah, we are loaded with redneck racist truck drivers in Cleveland Ohio. Because I'm on the opposite side of you (and don't tell me you're not a lefty) I'm a racist even though I said nothing racist at all.

You brainwashed puppets are trained to respond that way. Whenever backed into a corner, go into leftist default mode. Make it about race.
