We've talked about it until we're blue in the face, and nobody does anything. We talked about it when women were dying from lack of sunlight under the Taliban and we were told it was "local customs" and none of our concern. We talked about it when rape victims were being further victimized, and we were told again, it was local customs and to stay out of it, and that's what OUR OWN GOVERNMENTS told us.

Suddenly, now that the government is flagrantly anti-muslim, they're using this crap to gin up anti-Muslim sentiment. The reality is that this is misogyny and male repression and it's no different than the attacks on abortion clinics in the US, or the anti-abortion zealots attacking women getting abortions.
