Trump is having a sane moment

ORLANDO, FLA. — Straying from his trademark bravado, Donald Trump acknowledged Thursday that his presidential campaign is facing challenges and could ultimately fall short — a rare expression of humility by the Republican presidential nominee.

Trump's most explicit concession came as he pleaded for support at a gathering of evangelical ministers, where Trump observed he was "having a tremendous problem in Utah." The same day, the billionaire celebrity acknowledged that his lack of political correctness could cost him the election if Americans reject his blunt approach.

in other traditionally GOP-leaning states like Arizona and Georgia, too, Republicans are concerned Trump's unpopularity could give Democrats an improbable victory. The concerns are compelling enough that dozens of worried Republicans gathered signatures Thursday for a letter to the GOP party chairman urging him to stop helping Trump and focus on protecting vulnerable House and Senate candidates.

Expressing anything other than confidence this close to Election Day is unusual for a presidential nominee. But GOP strategist Mike DuHaime, who advised Trump ally Chris Christie's presidential bid, said there could be benefits to Trump's newfound self-awareness.

Remarkable – perhaps unprecedented.

LOL. He was just back-handedly taking a jab at Mormons in the audience filled with Mormon haters.

Everything Trump says seems to resonate in the leftist world as a message from God. Are they so afraid of Trump that every sentence is considered to be dogma? Meanwhile Mrs Clinton hasn't given a Q&A press conference since 2015. Does it come as a surprise to the radical left after Hillary's cheating and swindling primary win that one candidate might lose?

"The Demise of the Whig Party, Part II ???"

Oh, well, the Libertarians are warming up in the bullpen, as the UN-Party, for 2020... by then, they'll probably have a shot at the prize.

But they've got some growing up to do, in the next four years, and not much time to do it in...

Could it be that Trump entered politics on a dare? As a joke? For the publicity?

It seems that, more and more, Trump is ignoring all advice, warnings and guidance the professional politicians offer and persisting in his shoot form the hip incorrigible style. Did Trump consider the awesome responsibilities of the American presidency? Is he now over his head?

Perhaps he looked at the GOPas an opportunity to make a hostile takeover of a going concern. The party was ripe for a takeover. The Tea Party set the stage with the purge of moderate incumbents. With the political intellect gone, anyone of Trump's stature and style could easily rise to the top. But once the top has been reached, there is a harsh reality that must be faced. Winning primaries with no dignity, no specifics, no appeal to the larger electorate is aparantly easy. Winning in November with those qualities is impossible.

As was the suggestion that his opponent be assassinated to protect the selection of the next few SCOTUS justices.
