Another area that trafficking affects:
the populations in jails can involve several layers of trafficking,
some more obvious than others:
* people charged with prostitution can be kidnap and rape victims, and it's hard to know the difference without indepth research into each case. So the pimps use this system to bait their victims to take plea deals and depend on them financially.
* people charged with other crimes, from hot checks to shoplifting and drug charges,
can actually be connected to trafficking.
