According to a letter from the whistleblower's attorney Mark Lytle to Congress obtained by Just the News, the IRS agent revealed he is seeking to provide detailed disclosures about a high-profile, sensitive case to the tax-writing committees in Congress, which have special authority under federal tax privacy laws to receive such information. That could pave the way to share the details with other committees in coming weeks.​

The letter does not state that the whistleblower disclosures are related to Hunter Biden. However, Just the News has independently confirmed the agent's allegations involve the Hunter Biden probe being led by Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss, a Trump holdover, according to multiple interviews with people directly familiar with the matter.​

In a letter Wednesday to Republicans and Democrats overseeing multiple oversight committees in Congress, Lytle wrote: "The protected disclosures: (l) contradict sworn testimony to Congress by a senior political appointee, (2) involve failure to mitigate clear conflicts of interest in the ultimate disposition of the case, and (3) detail examples of preferential treatment and politics improperly infecting decisions and protocols that would normally be followed by career law enforcement professionals in similar circumstances if the subject were not politically connected."​

I don't see the right fighting their antics much. Such sad times we live in.

One should overlay FBI-CIA rivalry over this situation because of the possibility of Trump now being made a CIA asset prior to the elections. FBI has traditionally been internal akin to British MI5, CIA external (akin to MI6). That is why the Chappaqua Blue mouths off recently in the media, Clintons being CIA-MI6.

A blockbuster story, and kudos to CBS News for having the courage to break from the rest of the Leftist Media and actually report the IRS Whistleblower coming forward to say the Biden Administration is potentially obstructing justice to keep Hunter Biden from being charged with Tax Violations. This CBS News report even identifies Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland as the official who the Whistleblower is prepared to say has lied to Congress about this matter.

CBS finally gets their hooks into the story about two years too late?
Why would CBS start paying attention to Hunter Biden and wrongdoing now?
One possible reason is clearing the deck of the issue ahead of the Biden candidacy announcement next week.
Another possible reason Joe Biden is to be ditched for a replacement.
Yup, they are pushing Biden a bit harder, to get him to announce he is not running.
They have a Harris problem though, so they have to get rid of her first.
Then again, I understand that Newsom was measuring drapes at the W.H. wile Joey was away. Then there's of course Marianne Williamson.
Meanwhile, does the Kennedy name still retain any magic, even in New England, in 2024? Federal prosecutors have considered charging Hunter Biden with three tax crimes and a charge related to a gun purchase, said two sources familiar with the matter.
The possible charges are two misdemeanor counts for failure to file taxes, a single felony count of tax evasion related to a business expense for one year of taxes, and the gun charge, also a potential felony.
Two senior law enforcement sources told NBC News about "growing frustration" inside the FBI because investigators finished the bulk of their work on the case about a year ago. A senior law enforcement source said the IRS finished its investigation more than a year ago.
