Face it......Doubling utility bills based upon a myth is never going to fly with the people who are going to be paying them.

Senate Democratic leaders said Tuesday they would put off debate on a big climate-change bill until spring, in a sign of weakening political will to tackle a long-term environmental issue at a time of high unemployment and economic uncertainty.

Legislation on health care, overhauling financial markets and job creation will be considered before the Senate takes up a measure to cap emissions of carbon dioxide and other gases linked to climate change, Senate Democratic leaders said Tuesday.

Obama's whole agenda is failing as poll numbers fall and elections come up. There is no reason the Dums couldn't have passed the whole enchilada here. But people are worried about whether they will have a job next week, not whether the temperature will be .5degrees warmer 50 years from now.

I hate these damn Southern taxes they keep putting on us and trying to add to. Why not have some Yankee taxes? Tax heating oil or subway fares or something yankees use but not Southerners.

Hell, we have been sending you Southerners welfare checks for a couple of generations. When you guys start putting more money into the Federal coffers than you take out, then complain. Until then, you are just a bunch of parasites living off the rest of us that work for a living.

Does anyone else see the irony in Old Rocks words?

Red States Feed at Federal Trough, Blue States Supply the Feed

THAT'S RIGHT! THE BLUE STATES (LIBERALS) PAY THE MOST TAXES AND THE RED STATES (CONSERVATIVE) ARE THE RECIPIENTS OF THE REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH.

The Tax Foundation has released a fascinating report showing which states benefit from federal tax and spending policies, and which states foot the bill.

The report shows that of the 32 states (and the District of Columbia) that are "winners" -- receiving more in federal spending than they pay in federal taxes -- 76% are Red States that voted for George Bush in 2000. Indeed, 17 of the 20 (85%) states receiving the most federal spending per dollar of federal taxes paid are Red States. Here are the Top 10 states that feed at the federal trough (with Red States highlighted in bold):

States Receiving Most in Federal Spending Per Dollar of Federal Taxes Paid: NOTICE THESE ARE ALL TRADITIONALLY RED STATES.

1. D.C. ($6.17)
2. North Dakota ($2.03)
3. New Mexico ($1.89)
4. Mississippi ($1.84)
5. Alaska ($1.82)
6. West Virginia ($1.74)
7. Montana ($1.64)
8. Alabama ($1.61)
9. South Dakota ($1.59)
10. Arkansas ($1.53)

In contrast, of the 16 states that are "losers" -- receiving less in federal spending than they pay in federal taxes -- 69% are Blue States that voted for Al Gore in 2000. Indeed, 11 of the 14 (79%) of the states receiving the least federal spending per dollar of federal taxes paid are Blue States. Here are the Top 10 states that supply feed for the federal trough (with Blue States highlighted in bold):

States Receiving Least in Federal Spending Per Dollar of Federal Taxes Paid: NOTICE THESE ARE ALL BLUE STATES.

1. New Jersey ($0.62)
2. Connecticut ($0.64)
3. New Hampshire ($0.68)
4. Nevada ($0.73)
5. Illinois ($0.77)
6. Minnesota ($0.77)
7. Colorado ($0.79)
8. Massachusetts ($0.79)
9. California ($0.81)
10. New York ($0.81)

No kiddin, especially when they are trying to pass the new senate version of the (train wreck) Health care reform bill which is 2072 pages in length and will cost 2.5 trillion dollars over ten years and raise everyone's premiums and cause rationing. Just another Obama debaucle.:cuckoo::cuckoo: The cap and tax has been stopped dead in it's tracks, lets all get involved and call 202-224-2131 and stop this one. There are steps that can be taken for health care reform that don't amount to a massive take over of 6% of our economy. They need to trash this one, go back to work and come up with real solutions for reform in the PRIVATE SECTOR.

DC is a red state? And there are 4 Southern States in there that are at the local level most likely democratic controlled. Further your list of top 10 least states are not all blue States either. But then no one has ever accused you of being honest.

New Jesrsey blue???? I don't think so any more, remember, Corzine was trashed. Colorado??? may have voted for Obama but there's a whole bunch of them regretting that vote now. They voted for Bush in the previous two elections, and most Coloradoans are missing him big time now. Our 2 democrat senators are toast now that they voted for the no stimulus stimulus bill where they are now reporting jobs created in congressional districts that don't even exist. Democrat Governor Ritter does not have a snow ball's chance in hell of being re-elected in 2010. In 2010 Senator Bennet and Ritter will both be toast, Udall we have to wait another couple of years but were taking him out of there just as soon as we can get to him.:lol::lol::lol::lol:
