Self Defense: Only available to Whites in Texas.

Considering that the source of the information is an obvious left wing hate site, a reasonable person would have to conclude that there is a lot more information NOT included in the article. You'll have to do better than that.

A reasonable person would find the fault in the article instead of providing rumor and innuendo
An honest person would provide a credible link.

A great article on the two different justice systems in America depending on your race.

One white person gets off for self defense for shooting and killing a police officer for entering during a "no knock" raid. The determination being that the shooting was reasonable.

A black person shoots and kills a police officer during a "no knock" raid. The grand jury there with almost the exact same facts say it was unreasonable to assume it was someone breaking into his home. He is facing the death penalty and Rick Perry honors the dead cop shot by the black person but not the one shot by a white person.

These are what these protests are about. That black people face a different justice system than whites. That the same act by two different people yields two different results. One is deemed reasonable and is home for the holidays, the other facing death.

But I guess pointing out the obvious discrepancies in our justice system is "race-baiting" and black people should just take it. The nerve of them to think they deserve to be treated as equals.

The Right of Self Defense in Texas Completely Depends on Race

The black guy was a convicted felon in possession of a firearm when he killed the cop.
The white guy had no prior criminal history.

Typical. Texas hates people having guns.

Typical..stupid liberals want to arm criminals.

So that means it's ALL WHITE peoples fault.white people better start protecting yourselves with more and more BS like this going around
That's not the point. It's not about you. It's about some people not getting the same treatment you take for granted. No one said anything about ALL WHITE PEOPLE except you. Open your mind and read the article without blinders.

Hey guns save lives! That cop might've have been a criminal coming to kill the whole family!

Were these two cases tried in the same court with the same judge and prosecution? Because that is important to understand. It's simply haste to call this out as a racial issue off the cuff in such a manner.

This is the type of thing I was looking for too. They did say that there was a pistol in the home of Guy. But it didn't indicate whether or not it was legal or whether either person had priors.

Is there a link to that somewhere?

An honest person would have a reason why this site is not honest. Simple declaration isn't proof

Looks like that was already taken care of in here. The story DID exclude crucial information that separates the two cases. Hey, guess what?

Race ain't part of that.

Wow liberals lying by omission to make their point. That NEVER happens, right?

I thought jfk_usa was against self defense? What the fuck is he going on about???

Never against self defense. I'm against any self defense law that eliminates the duty to retreat if it is safe and reasonable. The use of force should never be retaliatory nor should the force used by the defender be greater than the force used by the "aggressor"

The problem we get with self-defense is who was the aggressor? When there are cases where the other person survives, it's a little easier to determine it. The issue is when the other dies, it's always the person who lives who will paint themselves as the victim when they could have been the aggressor.

Hopefully with the increased use of camera phones will help solve these issues but the taking of someone's life should be the last resort. The issue with "Stand your ground" laws are that they reward the deliberate disregard of human life.

Of course it does because those are two different cases. But what that crucial info is I'd like to know.

Haha.. What? are you looking for something that says we charged him because he's black? lol

Then try reading the thread. It's in here.

Mr. Guy (the black gentleman) was a convicted felon. Why was he in possession of a firearm illegally? Had he not broken the law against felons possessing firearms, he could not have shot the intruders and would not be in the trouble he's in now.

See how great gun laws work to keep guns out of the hands of convicted felons?

Affidavit For Search Warrant:
http://media.graytvinc.com/documents/FR000000.pdf

Then charge him with an illegal possession of a firearm. That's irrelevant to whether it was reasonable to use deadly force in his situation when he didn't know who was entering the house.

So if you ever been convicted of a crime, you never have the right to defend yourself? Come on man.
