A handful of Democratic Senators signed onto an amicus curiae brief in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. City of New York, defending New York City's blatant attack on the Second Amendment. For years, those who live in NYC could transport handguns, as long as it was to a few select gun ranges in the area. If you were a gun owner in NYC and wanted to take your firearm outside of city limits to a different gun range, that wasn't allowed.
The Senators who signed alongside New York City include Sheldon Whitehouse (RI), Mazi Hirono (HI), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Dick Durbin (IL) and Kirsten Gillibrand (NY).

This is outrageous. The scarier part missing from this article is where the Progressive Marxist Socialist/DSA Democrat Senators threaten the Supreme Court with "restructuring (i.e. packing)" if they don't rule "correctly". Hat tip Mark Levin.
In order to prevent packing the Supreme Court every patriot should do everything they can to support TRUMP 2020 and elect Republicans to Congress. Democrats want to destroy the Second Amendment as well as the rest of the Constitution.
Democrat know just as Hitler and Stalin knew that once they control the guns they control the population. They don't like people working either because like HITLER they know they can't control those who work..... they control the lazy and illegals who want welfare over work. Democrats want a "Welfare Nation" and totalitarianism.
If PMS/DSA Democrats were serious about doing things properly, they'd try to change the constitution the right way. Since the Equal Rights Amendment was defeated, however, they decided they couldn't win doing things the right way, and worked through the courts to impose laws by fiat. They admit that Roe v Wade was decided on ridiculous grounds and touched off a low-grade civil war to boot. We were heading towards a messy compromise, but that wasn't good enough for liberals, they wanted a short cut and they got it. This also explains the total mess that would result if they become able to destroy the Electoral College.

The judiciary was not intended to settle hypothetical disagreements. The Framers designed Article III courts to adjudicate actual controversies brought by plaintiffs who suffer real-world harm.
