Those civilizations were mostly destroyed by Europeans - southern Europeans, who greedily raped, pillaged and plundered the wealth of the Americas south of Mexico. Europeans whose descendants now claim special privilege and exemption from the law of a neighboring country because their lack of the rule of law made their own countries 'lawless'...and a lawless country destroys prosperity. There is a difference between "immigrants" and settlers, or colonists. "Immigrants" presumes the existence of a country with coherent and formal immigration laws. Americans of Western European ethnicity (most white people) are mainly descended from a mix of legal immigrants, colonists, and settlers.
