I hid behind Dad's recliner everytime that bitch came on screen. Fact.

Not many young children didn't

That is why it is one of the scariest movies ever. Nobody beats Margaret Hamilton as one of the all time great horror actors

Was she the green witch? She was scary, so were her little monkeys. lol
The other witch and her feet curling under the house. yikes!!!

Flying Monkeys are the terror of any preschooler

Silence of the Lambs

Really? You aren't a serious person...are you?

Explain

Silence of the Lambs was in no way a scary movie......it doesn't even rate with the lowest level of scary movie......therefore you are not a serious person on this issue....

Hanibal Lector is perhaps the most terrifying character ever to appear on screen
Seemingly physically meek and imprisoned in a cell without access to the outside......he still terrifies you while speaking in a low voice and standing without movement
His intelligence terrifies the audience

Buffalo Bill was no slouch either. That dude was scary as a mother.

I don't get it. It's been a long time since I've seen the movie.

Ted Levine's (the actor) voice is so unmistakable. One night the tv was on & I was in the other room....and heard that voice but the words didn't match the movie. I went to see why....he was playing a cop in a different movie & I was thinking he would never get another good acting role if he didn't do something about that voice.

I remember renting the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre when video recorders were new.......I tried to watch it but it was too disturbing. The low quality film, the unknown actors...it seemed to real.....so I turned it off....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he in The Usual Suspects as well?

I don't know :dunno:. Silence of the Lambs was the first movie I had seen him in....or atleast he'd made enough of an impression on me that I'd never forget him.
