Save the Children: US Ranked 25th

The OP talks about;

Living standards; health care, military, crime, education, transportation, electricity , internet/phone servicew, life expectancy, free time, pollution, and total income. That is eleve specific categories of standard of living, which he provides a specific measure of each.

High_Gravity's typical response is;

You barely speak English faggot, you are not an American you are just here to type bullshit. You are dismissed.

Good god, could you just stop already. You've managed to create more posts then anyone without adding a single intelligent idea.

You prove the very point of the failure of American education.

The display of intelligence by High_Gravity on this thread,

How much information does it contain regarding the OP's, eleven detailed and specific topics?

High_Gravity said:
01) "How about you move to Greece? I'm told Greece is doing well."

02) "What about the Ukraine? I heard their quality of life is off the charts from the numerous Ukranian cab drivers and strippers I have spoken to in New York and Baltimore"

03) "I heard the women in Budapest are smoking hot, maybe Hungary?"

04) "HAHAHA not that I noticed, actually the strippers from the Ukraine are quite nice, thats probably their best export."

05) "Actually I heard Ireland's economy is doing good, can anyone verify this?"

06) "I wouldn't mind going by there and drinking some original Irish Guiness"

07) "You are a stupid ass bitch who has never left the US, you are a spoiled baby and you have no idea which countries really "blow""

08) "The OP is a spoiled pampered baby who has been living in the US his whole life, he has no idea what a shitty living standard really is"

09) "Spoiled American babies always think other countries are 1000 times better than what we have."

10) "From what I understand Sweden doesn't have a very high number of people so they can afford to just take care of everyone like that, there are some people in the US who dream of the US being like that. I wouldn't want to move to Sweden because of the cold alone."

11) "Sweden took in a large number of Iraqi refugees and Somalis as well, the fabric of that country will change if they don't get it under control."

12) "If it was the other way around and everything was reversed, and Westerners like us and the Swedes had to go to Iraq and Somalia as refugees, we would be placed in refugee camps and not allowed to be citizens, look at the Palestinians in Lebanon as an example, they have been there for decades and they are STILL in refugee camps and not allowed citizenship."

13) "Yes, the OP is a fat spoiled American baby with a full belly and a shit filled pamper."

14) "You are the only one I see crying bitch"

15) "If you keep this up you will win the title of the most Retarded Poster."

16) "Well you are a bitch so what else am I supposed to call you? Lassie?"

17) "If the shoe fits you must wear it faggot."

18) "You wouldn't know what intelligence was if it pissed on your face faggot."

19) "Open your mouth faggot, here it comes."

20) "You barely speak English faggot, you are not an American you are just here to type bullshit. You are dismissed"

That is nineteen comments containing absolutely nothing to do with the original topic. (One manages to be a vague potential reference.)

There are ten references to a country (Greece, Ukraine, Budapest, Hungary, Ireland, Sweden, Iraq, Somalia, Palestine, and Lebanon) with no reference to any of the eleven specific detailed measures of a country's standard of living. Of course, a few of these are not in Europe, like Iraq, Somalia, Lebanon, and Palestine.

Seems like you stopped learning once you memorized the list of world countries.

Zero references to any of the eleven measures of standard of living.

You do include cab drives, Irish Guiness, women, and strippers. You do reference refugees a few times, though only one is a vague reference to Europe.

You include a number, "1000 times" which is meaningless because nothing in the measures of living standards are 1000 times anything.

You do manage to get in one vauge reference, ""Sweden took in a large number of Iraqi refugees and Somalis as well, the fabric of that country will change if they don't get it under control."

And all this, useless presentation of what might otherwise be real topics, includes;

There bitch references, "stupid ass bitch", bitch, and "crying bitch".

Four spoiled baby references; "spoiled baby", "spoiled pampered baby", "Spoiled American babie", "fat spoiled American baby".

One poop reference, "shit filled pamper".

One "Retarded"

Four usages of "faggot"

And, one "bullshit".

Really, the main theme seems to be beer drinking spoiled retard baby with shit filled pampers.

Sounds like a good description of High_Gravity, a beer drinking spoiled retard baby with shit filled pampers.

And a clear example of the failed American education system.

ouch

Yikes, that really hurts my feelings, your boyfriend really came out to fight for you, how cute.

Great thread...this country seems to be dropping in several rankings...I hear everyone scream "Freedom!" yet we're the 47th freeist country in the world. We need a massive makeover.

The amazing thing about this, we're constantly increasing the gov't footprint in healthcare and liberals use these studies to say our healthcare is constantly declining.

So basically in their minds the more and more we involve gov't in healthcare the worse and worse it'll get then all of a sudden once it's socialist enough it'll start working.

Sounds a lot like how they handled education. Our quality of education is constantly plummeting the more and more gov't gets involved but hey once we've reached some magical number in the trillions of $'s spent we'll all become Harvard educated geniuses.

See this is the problem. All the evidence/facts support she liberals.
1) Every country with a more socialized health care system then America has cheaper better health care. Hell Switzerland has more socialized health care then us but less then other 1st world countries yet it has more expensive health care with no added benefits.
2) Every time the government is removed from healthcare in some way it results in shittier health care. Privatized Medicare cost 18% less yet has health outcomes that are at least 4% possibly 40% lower then regular4e medicare.
3) All health care programs In America that are more socialized cost less and provide better care then private health care in America. Examples include Medicare and the VA.
4) Furthermore studies have been done that anaylized the change in health outcomes when one area saw increase government health spending and one areas saw an increase private spending. And dollar per dollar government spending increase outcomes more then private.

But every year our healthcare gets more socialist, and according to your studies its' constantly getting worse. Every year gov't gets more and more involved, and according to you guys it gets worse.

It's just common sense, would a great doctor want to work for a capped wage or would he want to work in a private industry with no cap on his salary? Would a smart 18 year want to sign up for $300,000 in college debt knowing the gov't regulated wage won't pay that down signifcantly for a huge length of time or would he rather be able to pay it off quickly and easily?

But in every discussion, it's common sense vs more gov't regulation. And in almost all instances more gov't regulation wins out in this country and the country is always worse off for it.

Here we go again. "You know, because the US doesn't buy into this progressive, Europen Socialism, we are falling farther and farther behind. If you'd listen to the messiah, we'd all be better off!"

First of all, if you have nothing but research from the UN, I hate to tell you but I want a second opinion. Here's a group of people that live in New York, do not follow our laws while they are there, and they live off of the teet of this "world body" so that they can have things that they would NEVER have in their home country. They also have an uncle or a brother-in-law that is Second Administrative Assistant to the Assistant High Commissioner for World Sewage who lives in a $500,000 apartment somewhere off of 5th Avenue. They go to the UN, spend the day passing resolutions condeming the US for imperialism or some other trumped up horse dookey and then jet off to Belgium or Luxemborg for a month of 'conferences' on global sewage issues AFTER they send the bill to the US Consulate for another couple billion dollars. Which Barry and his boys gleefully pay because we are all 'world citizens.'

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you want to condemn the American education system, then it's like the city of Detroit. It's been under the thumb of the Democrats and the unions for years and any short-comings fall directly in the lap of those people. I wouldn't even know where to go to find an example of a conservative educational system since all my kids have graduated over 10 years ago. I hear charter schools are going gang-busters and the unions absolutely HATE them, so I'd look there first.

Secondly, how many times do you have to be told? I mean really... are liberals that thick? Universal healthcare and all of it's variations, even Obamacare, is NOT what Americans want. Here's the bottom line. I have a job so that I can pay for things that I need, like a home, a car and services that I use. One of those services is that I have a family doctor. If I need him, I go to him and then I pay him for his services. I want MY doctor and I want to go see him when I want to go see him. If there are issues, then I expect him to fix them in a timely and proficient manner and I will pay him. I don't want the city, the state OR the federal government involved... PERIOD! Because there might be large issues, I contract with an insurance company to pay for services that may come up. But for some reason, liberals just can't stand it that they don't have their finger in some one else's business.

Now there are those who, for what ever reason, do not have the resources to pay for health care. For that I pay taxes and the government is supposed to help them with Medicare, Medicaid, etc. But do you think they can do it well? No, of course not. They are so bad at it that some doctors won't even consider taking either as payment. So the government under Barry and his boys, aren't happy with screwing up just Medicare and Medicaid, they have to MANDATE that everyone should do this or do that. Does it matter that they are absolutely HORRIBLE at it? No, of course not, because liberals look at stupid studies from the UN and they think, "Well, we're absolutely smarter than most people, so we will pass a law that says that people have to stand in line and conform to what we want."

I've got news for you sunshine... I will NOT be a part of your 'solution'

But every year our healthcare gets more socialist,
Oh Yes the GOP privatizing part of Medicare in 2005 totally means health care is more socialist.
and according to your studies its' constantly getting worse. Every year gov't gets more and more involved, and according to you guys it gets worse.
What? So according to you studies that show that government spending increases health outcomes more than private spending means it shows health care getting worse. Furthermore it was private health care that saw massive amount of increase3d wasteful spending (paper work related to insurance/other administration costs have almost doubled since 1990) however wasteful spending in Socilized health care has remained stable or decline since the 90’s (a perfect example of that is the VA)

It's just common sense, would a great doctor want to work for a capped wage or would he want to work in a private industry with no cap on his salary?
Plz source where socialized health care in America or in other counties capped doctors wagers
But going on given that socialized health care systems have 25% more doctors per capital and more doctors accept socialized health care in America. Anyone would conclude that the capitalist system for some reason or another employed by America results in less people becoming doctors.
Notice how I look at the facts/data and then form a theory/opinion while you do the exact opposite.

But in every discussion, it's common sense vs more gov't regulation. And in almost all instances more gov't regulation wins out in this country and the country is always worse off for it.
I see so according to you the fact that less govt regulation/less government always results in worse care and higher costs makers it common sense that more govt is bad. Seriously instead of simply spouting our talking points go look at some data.
Also plz actually read my post and respond to it. I already noted that privatized Medicare costs more and delivers worse results.
Furthermore when Nevada and San fran created a govt insurance that people could get on those costs for that program where 24% less than private insurance.
When San fran and Mass implemented govt exchanges/regulations in the single market the result was a 55% drop in costs (compared to the rest of the country) in that market and a slight drop in costs for employer based insurance.
When some states repealed rate setting regulations they saw costs increase more so than states that kept them.
The City of Richmond implemented strict regulations on expansions/use of medical services and as a result there was a drop in unneeded medical procedures, and improvement in outcomes especially in heart diases and lung ailments despite costs increasing more slowly than other cities.
Next every country that has switched to single-payer saw costs stagnate or fall.

I'll need a source other than this cherry picked one where you're pulling "facts" from.

And as OldUSA said, americans dont' want socialized medicine, so we shouldn't have it forced on us.

Our nation is fat and doesn't live long because the citizens eat mcdonald's instead of rice, not because of our hospitals.

Well here is a second and a third and a fourth, etc etc

Here's a group of people that live in New York, do not follow our laws
Plz name 5 laws the UN does not follow, or any for that matter
They also have an uncle or a brother-in-law that is Second Administrative Assistant to the Assistant High Commissioner for World Sewage who lives in a $500,000 apartment somewhere off of 5th Avenue.
So being rich means anything you say is inaccurate and not to be trusted…
I disagree
I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you want to condemn the American education system, then it's like the city of Detroit. It's been under the thumb of the Democrats and the unions for years and any short-comings fall directly in the lap of those people.
Nice of you to cherry pick. But states that have strong teachers and more teachers unions perform better than states without them\.

I hear charter schools are going gang-busters and the unions absolutely HATE them, so I'd look there first.
Yea go look at schools that have more money than public schools yet have lower or the same test scores
Secondly, how many times do you have to be told? I mean really... are liberals that thick? Universal healthcare and all of it's variations, even Obamacare, is NOT what Americans want.
Really is that why around 60% of Americans say they want universal health care?
Furthermore most Americans including you have no clue what Obamacare does so your opinion on it is pretty much based on ignorance

PERIOD!

I see so you don’t want the government to make it so your doctor has access to pertinent medical information or can’t treat you for cancer because your insure rejects your claim because you had a mole removed 15 years ago. You didn’t want the FDA to mandate electronic health scanners for medications even though it reduced errors by 40%...
I could keep listing shit but I’ll just ask a question.
Why do you want shittier more expensive health care?

Because there might be large issues, I contract with an insurance company to pay for services that may come up. But for some reason, liberals just can't stand it that they don't have their finger in some one else's business.
Yes liberals just can’t stand watching you get shitty health care and huge cost, or getting abused/defrauded by insurance companies. What ass holes
Now there are those who, for what ever reason, do not have the resources to pay for health care. For that I pay taxes and the government is supposed to help them with Medicare, Medicaid, etc. But do you think they can do it well? No, of course not.
Even with Obamacars subsidies people with employer based health care still get more government subsidies then those who don’t have it hell even those with employer based health care get more government subsidies than those on Medicaid.
Medicare and Medicaid both have better health outcomes at 40% of the cost then private insurance. So I don’t think they can do well, I know they can do a lot better.
That’s part of the problem is that instead of looking at the data/facts you just regurgitate some right-wing talking points

They are so bad at it that some doctors won't even consider taking either as payment.
More doctors accept Medicare then private insurance. So again you’re making statements that are contrary to reality
So the government under Barry and his boys, aren't happy with screwing up just Medicare and Medicaid, they have to MANDATE that everyone should do this or do that.
Nope under Obamacare you do not have to have health insurance you just pay more taxes if you don’t. So thx for proving thatr you know nothing about Obamacare

Good thing America helps with the health and welfare of many other nations then huh?

The second greatest enjoyment for left wingers is maligning their own Country and left wing smoke and mirrors propaganda machines like Soros' tax exempt "media matters" and "move-on" are ready to supply Huffington with a shit load of skewed statistics. Guess what..Norway comes in first with "save the children mothers report" but Norway has a total population of around 5 Million and the US supports double that number in freaking illegal aliens. When you crunch the numbers it seems that the piddling lilly white Norway culture is nothing but a bigoted closed society and the greatest Country in the world feeds and gives health care to more people then the frozen little country ever thought about.

Norway also struggles with mass-immigration. So it is not as white as it used to be 20 years ago, take a look in the link. Oslo,Norway has 4 times more crime than NYC, mainly because of immigration.

The rankings are based on parental leave policies, preschool enrollment rates, breast feeding support, teen pregnancy rates, female education rates, maternal death rates, infant mortality rates, support systems for parents including safety nets like welfare and food subsidies

Yea, that's the problem. We just don't have enough entitlement programs. :cuckoo:

Much better that we cut off our own noses cuz we sure as hell don't want to take the chance that we could become competitive.

Hell, we could even take back our Number One status in the world.

Far better we stick with the Rs on their road to total failure.

All i have to say is that it is a free country. If you dont like it here ....move.

We may not be #1 in education or healthcare, but we're #1 in self criticism or damn near it. That's one of the great things about America. Everybody is free to complain as much they desire.

I think we're tops in providing an amazingly good life for the ordinary guy compared to the rest of the world.

America offers more opportunity and social mobility than any other country. Only in America could Pierre Omidyar, whose parents are Iranian and who grew up in Paris, have started a company like eBay. Only in America could Vinod Khosla, the son of an Indian army officer, become a leading venture capitalist, the shaper of the technology industry, and a billionaire.

We don't have enough social programs in the US, we are going to need 100% free medical care for everyone and a cradle to the grave policy to move up on the list.

That's actually correct because the WHO report rankings were compiled from several different factors that did not have equal weight in the ranking determination. 50% of the ranking was based on whether or not your country had universal health care, so since we don't it knocked us way down the list. That same report, however, ranked us number one in health care quality.

Of course, the ignorant masses that lap up all the socialist Michael Moore propaganda don't possess the brain power to actually research this stuff on their own and learn something. They just parrot what they hear from the talking heads.

Its not hard to figure that out because if you look at all the countries on the list the 2 things they all had in common was universal health care and an abundance of social programs, even though Lithuania, Estonia and the Belarus are total shit holes and many of their citizens flock here to become citizens.
Since thirty-two of the thirty-three developed nations have universal health care, of course they have it. Excluding some third world countries, the US and Mexico are only countries without universal healthcare.

I think this is the first thing you've ever said that I agreed with. Excuse me while I go have a heart attack and die from the shock now.
