You don't have to buy a TV once or twice a week.If people are willing to pay a lot more for TVs and phones and whatever else is made in China, they should be willing to pay more for gas. Period.

I don't care what Trump says. I care what our government DOESAnd Trump believes in Peter Pan too?Saudi could quite easily drive our economy straight into the shitter with their control over oil.
How the hell do we avoid the inevitable disaster that may well result from any consequences we try to impose on them?

Earlier this week, President Trump said that the king of Saudi Arabia had denied any knowledge of Khashoggi’s whereabouts, adding that “it sounded to me like maybe these could’ve been rogue killers
For what oil could go to it is not a matter of want it is a matter of ability. Alot of people could not afford to go to work at ten dollars a gallon. Also remember how food prices rised like crazy after the 4 dollar per gallon and never went back down. $!0/gallon is not what this country needs right now.You don't have to buy a TV once or twice a week.If people are willing to pay a lot more for TVs and phones and whatever else is made in China, they should be willing to pay more for gas. Agree, but there might be a lot of other stuff made in China, like pens, random junk from the hardware store and whatnot. You don't have to buy a TV once or twice a week.If people are willing to pay a lot more for TVs and phones and whatever else is made in China, they should be willing to pay more for gas. Ya when gas is ten dollars a gallon at the pump it will seem real smart./Using our own oil does not change world supply./ World supply dicatates the price of oil. With out government price fixing of private industries the price of oil still rises. The oil companies are not going to just forfet profits this is a free economy. It is now looking extremely stupid cutting gas milage regulations Our best bet to hedge this off is to show saudi arabia a willingness to deal with Iran and put thier oil back on the market. That would have a double effect on saudi not only would they be losing money and their arch enemy sitting right beside them get enriched./ We have a rock and hard place to put them between also. The other thing we can start soing is to quit trying to stop renewables and electric cars. Imagine if we could actually replace oil this would fuck Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Iran. We should also be focusing on ways to run cars on natural gas considering our supplies of it. I wonder if any one has ever calculated in the cost of defending oil supplies in the middle easty to what we actually spend on energy. Do we still belive in American exceptionalism, there was a time we beleived our scientists could over come any obsticles. This was part of the attitude that made america so successfullK thanks for that pointless narrow minded post but you need to THINK. Their oil counts for about 15% of the world market. So what happens to prices if they decide to play games and cause a shortage?/----/ The USA is the #1 producer of oil. ANd NG is quickly taking over. Saudis need us more than we need them.
We use our own oil?

I agree. Don't cut them, eliminate them.
/——-/ I reject the premise of $10 gas. A Strawman argumentFor what oil could go to it is not a matter of want it is a matter of ability. Being the largest producer of oil in the world why cant we influence the market?
Undercut the Saudis to the point no one will buy from them.
I'm guessing it's because we're also one of the worlds largest consumers of oil too. Not to mention the fact that the Arab desert sands have cheap, easily extracted oil and we don't
btw we can and do influence the market. When we increase our production we cut down on our imports. That can create a glut of oil and drive prices down. The Oil Patch didn't like that........
I lost a shitload during the eighties from that shit.
We've since diversified as has the city of Houston and Texas in general
Those were some tough times in the Oil Patch.
and the US is sooooooooooooooo moral/perfect/etc.............??!!It boggles the mind that morality has a price tag for you.It boggles my mind that we are willing to put our economy on the line for a single individual who isn't even a citizen.Ferdinand was a lot more important than this unknownAre you all willing to go to war over a single individual?
How do you figure World War I started bud ? All it takes is a trigger. Archduke Franz Ferdinand ring a bell ?
This time the guy's name is Jamal Khashoggi. With his execution he lands in the middle of a moral principles vs CASH debate which will define the future of post-WWII democracies and whether America will still be viewed as a shining city upon a hill. Now wear your Trump glasses and ask yourself if you'll take the cash?
Britain, France, Ireland and Russia were part of an alliance called the Triple Entente, while Germany aligned itself with Austria-Hungary – known as the Central Powers. The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo on 28th June 1914, it triggered a chain of events that resulted in World War 1.
I think you need to look up straw man. At any rate if you want to beleive there is no way gas can get to 10/gallon no skin of my nose. How ever it can. I hope it does not and I do beleieve there are ways to avoid this. How ever if oil does go to 200/barrell it will get close to that at the pump./——-/ I reject the premise of $10 gas. Saudi could quite easily drive our economy straight into the shitter with their control over oil.
How the hell do we avoid the inevitable disaster that may well result from any consequences we try to impose on them?
And why does every Americans financial well being have to be tied to a solitary individual who is not even an American citizen and did not die on American soil?
Are you all willing to goto war over a single individual?
So we should let them get away with murdering a person because you might have to spend .10 cents more for a gallon of gas? Is this your argument, buddy?
If the Saudis have that kind of power, then we need to do something about it. It would help if we had a president who didn't owe them a shitload of money.
Its absurd. Nearly all them shithole countries do this kind of shit. When Boko Haram kidnapped all them girls to sell into slavery, rape & murder what did the party of womens rights do?Saudi could quite easily drive our economy straight into the shitter with their control over oil.

The Saudis have been murdering "a person" for decades, why all of a sudden do you give a shit about this?

Created a hashtag campaign. #bringbackourgirls
Dozens of girls get raped, sold into slavery and murdered and the left effectively did NOTHING but one solitary man is murdered and they are willing to tank the US economy to get justice.
The hypocrisy is off the charts.
And the havoc on the market begins as oil prices climb on fears over sanctions against Saudi Arabia
And the markets drop as trump can't tell the Fed what to do Hear Trump whine ?? It's the Feds fault Hear the pos McConnell whine it's the Dems fault we have a deficit ?And the havoc on the market begins as oil prices climb on fears over sanctions against Saudi Arabia
