2) Business Activities - Romney made his fortune by essentially putting people out of jobs. Read about his AmPad activities, where he closed two plants, put 800 people out of work, left the company with a mountain of debt (while Bain Capital collected millions in "administrative fees") and the shareholders with worthless paper. IN short, he engaged in EXACTLY the kind of

3) Class Issues- Americans really don't like rich people. We'd all like to be them, but we don't like them, especially ones who were born rich. What makes Romney's activities so repulsive is that he didn't need to screw those working folks. He was already rich. It is very bad form to use your money to push people around, especially when you didn't actually earn it.

4) Multiple Choice - When it comes to the all-important social issues, Romney has no moorings. Now, cards on the table, I personally don't care about social issues all that much. I think Gay marriage for the whole country is pretty much inevitable, and abortion can't be practically outlawed, even if you could get Roe v. Wade overturned. But Romney has flip-flopped all over on these moral issues, and that doesn't sit well with the "values voters".

Guy, I'm actually pretty moderate. I even agree with Obama on a few things. If it weren't for his religion and his lack of character or integrity, I'm probably more politically aligned with Romney than Perry.
