You forget that more people are going to college in this generation. More than were even expected to finish high school in past generations. It's like expanding the NBA, NFL, and MLB to almost everyone. Would they be considered failures then with those playing that have no talent to do so?

The state is going to feel they can tell people everything to do with our kids. Like I said earlier, the kids will probably just come home on the weekends, if the parents are available at some point in the future.

Cheaper than sending them to war. Costs 1 million per troop to fight a war. 100,000 troops in Afghanistan cost 100 billion a year to keep them there.
Plus the costs of deaths and wounded and future disability adds another 200K per troop.
