S&P downgrade marks extinction for 19th-20th century progressivism

Oh... we're talking end game here boys? OK... let's play.

You ever hear of the Robber/Baron days? When people worked 80 hours/week doing hard labor and were paid in Company Script to only be used in Company Stores at such inflated Prices that they ended up OWING the company? That's what your vision seems to be.

Exactly

but again

We have reached that place that Margaret Thatcher spoke of :

"The trouble with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money."

What tools do we have left?
- interest are low as they can go to go any good
- we can't tax anyone enough without crashing the economy
- how much can we debt spend since we are broke
- we can't not allow true reforms to entitlements which limit the state's role

What are we to do?

I for one comrade am ready to take the next step
Total capitulation of all the factors of production over to the gov't

It is the only answer and it is what we really want in the long run
anyway, as Progressives

Capitalism is highly over rated
would you not agree

It is only from being raised in this system of crony capitalism
that you hold on to it like some hopeful charm.
You are just use to it

Dream big

FRANCE now has a better credit rating than we do. Sweden is prospering.

Socialism is winning.

Sorry comrade

AAA Rated France May Be Vulnerable to Downgrade Following Cut to the U.S. AUg 7. 2011

They too could be facing the same problem as us

See the limitations put on our Progressive dreams by
what little free market is left is stopping us and others from achieving our Utopia

Then even more so
We should take the next step- beat France to it!

What is to fear?

You are only blocked by some type of traditionalism
to the system of crony capitalism. It is almost like an old
chair from your grandfather that you just don't have
the heart to throw out.

Sadly, it is time to let it go.

Just imagine, gov't allocation of all resources
nothing could be more fair and equitable

France is socialist(=social democrat)- NONE of this has ANYTHING to do with Marxism/communism, cold war dinosaurs/dittoheads...

NOBODY has better credit than the USA. This downgrade is STUPID, a CYA after a STUPID math mistake, after an incredibly STUPID TEA PARTY manufactured crisis, all for STUPID political gain.OBAMAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. What a bunch of STUPID A-Holes.....Pffffft!!

And to think, Kurt Vonnegut was a mere seventy years off...

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKHzFWkH0Po]‪2081: Everyone Will Finally Be Equal‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

Watch "2081" a new film based on Kurt Vonnegut's "Harrison Bergeron"

Whatever few elements of free market still exist after the socialist modifications
is failing to achieve what we want and the crony capitalism that has developed to compensate is failing us as well.

Indeed, socialism has left it too weak to be of any more use to us.

The only solution to keep the Progressive Utopia achievable
is total domination of the state over all the factors of production.

Why waste time with regulate, when the State can just take

Help me out here.

People can only be equal if equality means the lowest common denominator is the standard measurement of equality.

I guess that means we all have to be unionized...right?

In a word
yes

In our pure state unions would only be redundant and wasteful
and since the gov't would make sure we are all equal
there would be no "lower dominator".

We would know no better or no less
and have no wants that were not met by the state

Learned your talking points well you have young jedi.

Indeed, the downgrade was both wrong and the Tea Party's fault. AA+ for you!

“Tea Party Downgrade”? They Can’t Possibly Sell That | Power Line

The administration’s knee-jerk responses are somewhat inconsistent: if S&P was wrong to downgrade the debt, and the downgrade was based on a mathematical error, then it is hard to see how the downgrade can also be the Tea Party’s fault. (In the legal world, this is known as pleading in the alternative: when sued for borrowing a neighbor’s pot and breaking it, the defendant answers that he never borrowed the pot; the pot was never broken; and the pot was already broken when he borrowed it.)

Of the administration’s alternative theories, the most ludicrous is the claim that the Tea Party, the one group dedicated to doing something about the nation’s spending and debt crisis, is somehow to blame for it. Yet this is the theory that President Obama’s political adviser, David Axelrod, tried to sell on Face the Nation this morning:

hellofromwarsaw deserves to be promoted and must be dispatched to the internets to denounce the capitalist lies above. Go forth young jedi, this is your Sputnik moment!!11!1!

i can see a problem already, since im very attractive, and extremely modest

i tend to stand out in crowds of other humans...i guess im doomed

:eusa_whistle:

Don't view that way, you are still thinking with the "old" ways
Any modifications would be based on equality, so it can not be
all bad. It would be for the good of the State which means for the good of
the people.

Everything in the State, nothing against the State, nothing outside the State

Unions come between the State and the People. :eusa_whistle:

Exactly, even now gov't unions can't go on strike
No collective will be allowed that is not deemed necessary
by the gov't for the efficient allocation of resources.
