I understand that's your view, but I believe you're wrong. There's a wide gulf between expansive overbearing intervention, and defending ourselves from threats. Simply put, we don't need to be up in everyone else's business to protect ourselves. Paul believes in this principle passionately and applies it to both domestic and foreign policy.

There are too many folks in the GOP who want to attack other sovereign countries when the mood hits them.

Well, maybe "attack" isn't quite enough. Attack, destroy, kill thousands of innocents, fill up American body bags, create thousands of maimed veterans, destroy American military families, leave American body parts on foreign soil, waste trillions of dollars, create new enemies, engage in temporary nation-building only to see that nation turn against us, ignore our massive problems here at home. Yeah, that's a bit closer.

Anyway, too many of them in the GOP for Paul to ever have a chance. And there are actually a few who are rational enough to know that most of Paul's "ideas" would never, ever see the light of day, not in a million years.
