Well, now that the conversation has taken a route where people can actually debate, I like Ron Paul.

I like his philosophy on personal freedoms, I like his pacifist/non-interventionist policy in regards to the military....in fact, the only area I don't agree with him on is his Socioeconomic policy.

I'm sorry, when the situation is so skewed to the wealthy in this country... you can't just sit there and shout Liberty and freedom and expect things to change. You can't destroy entities like SS and Medicare and expect people who have paid into the system their whole lives to just roll over and die. Those policies keep working and Middle Class people from nosediving into poverty when they decide to retire.

So yeah... If it weren't for the same "business first" philosophy of the Libertarians... I'd probably be one. In fact, even if Dems and Libs could find common ground on those Economic issues... I might even vote for him as a Dem. But that isn't going to happen.
