Romney used to be an LDS bishop

The left can definitely overplay the religion angle and it will completely backfire...so carry on.:D

On the march to theocracy.

As intended.

wow, so clergy cant run? I guess that rules out Jackson and Sharpton, oh wait they're fake preachers. I want my religous credentials out of a box of crackerjacks too!

I love the left who thinks speaking religion in public is a violation of seperation of church and state. Atheism is a religion too, complete with it's own dogma too and not a thing to look forward to. Oh wait that must be why they are all cynical and hateful. Holder praising Sharpton.... WOW

For someone who used to be a Mormon leader, I'm surprised he's not more openly religious. I guess he knows that his potential voters would crucify him for that.

What do you expect him to do? Mention it every day?

I don't and I consider myself religious.

The left is obviously interested in amending the Constitution to provide for a religious test to serve as president. They want a vow to renounce all religion. But they don't only want it from the president, but everyone else as well.

Let's look at the history of state atheism:

"
State atheism is the official "promotion of atheism" by a government, sometimes combined with active suppression of religious freedom and practice.[1] In contrast, a secular state purports to be officially neutral in matters of religion, supporting neither religion nor irreligion.[2] Atheism is either the lack of belief in a deity or the belief that none exist,[3] and forms a binary pair with theism,[4] which is the belief that at least one deity exists.[5][6] Atheists have offered various rationales for not believing in any deity, but there is no one ideology or set of behaviors to which all atheists adhere.[7] Furthermore, atheism figures in to certain religious and spiritual belief systems, such as Jainism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Neopagan movements[8] such as Wicca.[9]
State atheism may refer to a government's anti-clericalism, which opposes religious institutional power and influence, real or alleged, in all aspects of public and political life, including the involvement of religion in the everyday life of the citizen.[10] State promotion of atheism as a public norm was first practised during a brief period in Revolutionary France. Since then, such a policy was repeated only in Revolutionary Mexico and some communist states. The Soviet Union had a long history of state atheism,[11] in which social success largely required individuals to profess atheism, stay away from churches and even vandalize them; this attitude was especially militant during the middle Stalinist era from 1929-1939.[12][13][14] The Soviet Union attempted to suppress religion over wide areas of its influence, including places such as central Asia.[15] The Socialist People's Republic of Albania under Enver Hoxha went so far as to officially ban the practice of every religion.[16]"

Yes, I think we could learn a lot from the murderous regimes in Russia, Czechoslavakia, the Khmer Rouge, Cuba, and China.

I want America to be JUST like them!

What's funny is how rw's make up lies about our president while they refuse to educate themselves about their own candidate. Anyone who actually reads about Mitten's religion or his history wouldn't even consider actually voting for him.

Tell me brainiac, how much did his religion play a part in his governorship? Zilch.

Tell me how much did Obama's sitting under Rev. Wright paly a part in his presidency?

ZILCH.

Unlike you, President Obama has his own ideas, and doesn't need a Rev. Wright to provide them

Could I interest you in some ocean front property in Arizona? You'll love the view.

So What? Do you care as much that Harry Reid the obstructionist Senate leader is also a Mormon? I suspect not since he has a D after his name!
