I had no role whatsoever in the management of Bain after I went off to the Olympics and that`s been demonstrated by people who work at Bain, by all of the documents but I still retained an ownership interest. .
Corporate raiders are great for the economy. They take underperforming assets and put them to better use. They save jobs by keeping a portion of the company employed rather then the whole thing going under. Just like the slowest wildebeast slows down the herd jeopardizing them all and it's good when predators get them, it's better for the economy when predators capture and reallocate the assets of the slow companies. The worst thing you can do is take tax money and prop up the poor performers. Then the good companies are competing against their own money being given to their competitors who suck.
Also, do you expect life long politicians to disavow their government history? Or it is only capitalists who aren't allowed to have their past?
