Republicans need to realize this point. We are looking into tromney's background because we have no presidential record of his to evaluate him on. So things like his tax returns, his college behaviors and records, his time at bain, his lying to the public, his constant ability to piss people off by talking, and his dancing horse tax write off all give us a glimpse into his personality, ideas, morals, and we try to extrapolate how he is going to be as president because we don't have a presidential record for us to look at. It is like applying for any job. People open up your records and try to see if you qualify and are capable of doing the job.
4 years ago we did the same with obama. It does not matter now what he got in college, if he smoked weed, or even the pointless accusations that he can't be president because he was born in kenya. We already looked at all of that when Obama was applying for the job 4 years ago. Now we have his presidential record to evaluate as to whether we feel the direction he has actually taken has been good or not. 4 years ago it made a difference in our guessing whether or not he would be good that we did not have his college grades to look at. Now it is an irrelevant point because we don't have to guess how he will do as president, we have 4 years of experience to go back over.
When you are up for review at your job does your employer whip out your resume and give you an interview like they don't have a clue who you are? No, that would be the stupid way to do things. They pull out your records of performance at your job and use those to look at you. If your employer took a chance on you by not getting all the info on your background they don't bother when you have been doing a decent job.
Do the republicans even have a issue left with Obama's presidential record? Healthcare is constitutional by their own tools, and it is working out. the economy is recovering, and unemployment is down from the Bush recession/depression. He finished up Iraq, killed Osama, and even helped dispose of kadaffy. America is much better off that it was 4 years ago, and he was the leader of the process. Every time they attack Obama on the actual presidential history we have for him it fails. So now they bring up the same fail points that didn't work when obama was applying, and are completely irrelevant now that he has the job. he is a US citizen, no matter what his college transcripts say he is capable of doing the job, and if he smoked up as a kid he certainly can still accomplish being one of the better presidents in the last 50 years.
Is mittens capable of being president? Yes, he seems to have the minimum qualifications we have for being the president. can he be a good president? none of us know for sure. It is unknown because even if he did a good job in other oplaces the presidency is like no other job in the world. We can look at his record of profitable but underhanded business practices and decide what that means for us. We can look at the constant streem of gaffes that come from him which have pissed off england, Isreal, palestine, poland, russia, and many other foreign countries. We can look at his own party who have to be whipped into backing him, and some of his party references like Rush who have outright attacked him. We use all this to extrapolate a opinion on how well he will do, but in the end there is that slim possibility he might turn everything around and be the best president ever despite all the evidence saying otherwise.
So when it comes down to a good president despite any failings he may have had in college or as a child, and a applicant we have nothing but bad things to go on with a possibility he might go against the rest of his life and be a good president, there is only one choice I can make between the two of them and that is to go with the guiy who has been doing the decent job. So I must ask, why should i be concerned with obama's transcripts when clearly whatever they were he is capable fo doing the job? Also, why is Mittens records of his past supposedly irrelevant when we have nothing else to base our opinions of him on?
