No, because, again, his letter has no bearing on whether or not it is true that Trump fired Comey in an attempt to intentionally obstruct justice. The defense will have these same reasons he stated in his letter to bring as trump's reasons, but diarrhea-mouth Trump may sink his own ship. He certainly is never going to defer to anyone else's "recommendations', when put on the spot. He's not wired that way. It's the Trump show, 24/7. He will take credit, and his lawyers would be smart to advise him to do so. Mueller won't be able to bring an obstruction case without some smoking guns, like recorded conversations or copious testimony. Recording? Not happening.Rosenstein writes a memo to Trump to fire Comey, then he names an investigation team that is going to investigate why Trump fired Comey?
I mean, come on, man...this shit is silly,
Trump made it pretty clear why he fired Comey. He refused to say publicly what he was telling the President privately, that he was not a target in the Russia investigation. Your boss asks you to do something and you refuse, you can expect to be fired. That said, Trump was exercising his authority under Article 2 of the Constitution and has no obligation to explain, to his subordinates, why he chose to do what he did.
