Retired Air Force officer sentenced to 3 years for storing classified information at his Florida home

The fool MAGAs want evidence then when given conclusive proof, they say, "I don't believe it."

Does not what you believe MAGA at all.

It does not need to be deliberate to be against the law.

The fact she may not have meant to do it is meaningless.

When I was in charge of classified Docs while in the Marine Corps if I had mistakenly left some out I would have been making big rocks into little rocks at Leavenworth. Why do these people not get held to the same standard?
He wasn’t a high ranking Democrat like Hillary or Joe Biden so of course the rule of law applied to him.

Actually, he is in prison because the article said he KNOWINGLY removed and took (stole) classified files, some top secret, and KNOWINGLY stored them at his home and office in unauthorized places.

He admitted his guilt. There was no trial necessary.

The KNOWINGLY part was key to the criminality.

Pence and Biden, their classified docs were intermixed and packed in to their personal papers and shipped to their homes, then offices or think tanks or garages etc...after they left office. Under those circumstances, DOJ can't prove this was done intentionally, KNOWINGLY.

THAT could be said for Trump as well, and that is what his lawyers had even made claims of in the past.... that Trump did not KNOWINGLY take them.... But good ole Trumpybear opened his BIG MOUTH on Tv no less, and said he KNOWINGLY took the over 300 plus classified files....
Absolutely correct, trump's mouth sealed his own case. Now he's facing up to 400 years in prison.

Either way is the death penalty.
Do you prefer gas chamber, lethal injection, electric chair, or firing squad?
Should it be televised on all networks and people are forced to stay home and watch it?
So many questions. The guy in this article is LUCKY to get 3 years.

No, not in America. You can't force people to do anything. That's why trump is in so much trouble, he thought he was king and he could force his will on everyone. Traitors in the past we drawn, quartered and hung. That sounds about right.

Let's split the difference on trump and let him off easy. Only 197 & 1/2 years. He's had it easy his whole life, 400 years might be a shock for him.

Biden had SCIF level doc's amongst his 'treasures'. They aren't to leave a SCIF facility. SCIF doc's were found in the Penn-Biden Center, in an unlocked storage room that anyone could have entered.......frequented by Chinese.
No one seems to be interested in how Biden had all these different levels of classified doc's in his possession.
Hate to break it to you, Johnny, but the Biden issue is more serious than the Trump issue.
If here was no evidence that Biden's moves were deliberate, how did the doc's get there then?
Exactly right, and it's worse than Trump because Biden is under investigation for taking bribes from foreign Nationals or foreign governments. Biden makes Trump look like a choir boy.

There seems to be a double standard here. You know who was storing classified information you know where and really nothing has been done about it.
I do believe they found documents in various places.
Not sure how you know who can get away with it.

A retired Air Force lieutenant colonel was sentenced to three years in federal prison Thursday for storing files with classified information at his Florida home, the Department of Justice announced.

Robert Birchum pleaded guilty earlier this year to unlawfully possessing and retaining classified documents relating to national defense, the department said in a news release.
Birchum served nearly three decades in the Air Force and held several roles that required him to handle classified information, prosecutors said. In his plea agreement, Birchum admitted to having stored hundreds of files that contained information with top secret, secret or confidential classification markings in unauthorized locations.
In 2017, investigators found that Birchum “knowingly removed more than 300 classified files or documents” and kept them in “his home, his overseas officer’s headquarters, and a storage pod in his driveway,” according to the release. More than 30 of those files and documents were marked “Top Secret” – the highest level of classification.

You mean Brandon in his garage?
