Cripes, 90% of the work force is working and people act as if the sky is falling.

Republicans need to vote YES on this one
They have already lost any chance to block through fillibuster. By voting YES they get to give the impression that they are no longer the Party of No and are willing to reach across the aisle.
However, as usual, Republicans can't help being Republicans so they will, as usual say NO to more jobs

You don't understand.
We WANT them to be the party of NO new taxes
NO unnecessary higher deficits
NO more huge increases to the national debt and less opportunity for our kids/grandkids.
NO more payola or 'feel good' spending that doesn't accomplish what is advertised
NO more threatening the American people with untenable and unsustainable socialist programs like healthcare that nobody believes will accomplish a thing
NO more attempts to force Americans into an energy policy that takes away our freedoms, choices, options, and opportunities.
God help them all if they cave in and stop being the party of NO to these destructive ideas.

And the republicans lost, big. Their no vote for small business will haunt them. The proposed bill which won the cloture vote yesterday, is all about helping small businesses. Why are Republicans already against it, with the exception of five brave ones?
S.A. 3310, the Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment Act

why was another bill necessary? there are hundreds of billions of dollars in the original stimulus that could be used for this same thing, this bill is a political stunt, nothing more

Why was a tax break for small business necessary? Is that your question? Why don't you ask all the Republicans who have been clamoring for just that sort of thing.
Including the shit dicks who voted against this bill.
The "tax break" is cintzy window dressing.
Businesses hire because production has increased past capacity, not because they get a puny little tax break.

Then we should raise taxes on businesses to pay off the debt, eh?

No problem with me...
I would just as soon have them keep their Party of No record intact
Liberals - the only people on earth would spend $35,000 to hire an employee in order to keep $3000 of their own money from the government.
Could you please provide evidence that the so called jobs bill actually creates jobs? Can you provide evidence where the person in the picture you posted doesnt have a job or has something to be ashamed of because you dont like what he looks like?
Could you provide evidence that you have any connection with reality?
Actually, I was watching Morning Joe this morning and he and his guests all said this bill was basically 15 billion in TAX CUTS to small business. He said that Republicans are making a big mistake not supporting such a bill. He said if the Democrats wanted to make it really hard for Republicans, they could submit such a bill every month and if the Republicans voted against every single one, it would destroy any chances for winning upcoming elections.
Joe Scarborough is hardly a liberal.
He's one of the sane ones who realizes that all the obnoxious negativity eventually will come back to bite them in their proverbial asses, and they will NOT win enough seats to make a dent in the Democratic majority. I wish Scarborough would run again, but I think he's taken up residence in New York and nothing's open until 2012.
If the solution to our problems is a jobs bill, why wait over a year and until your supermajority is gone to pass it?

Typical of Republicans that there is "a" solution. One single thing that fix everything.
