Okay fine. The Republicans are the problem. Guess what? So are the Dems. The SYSTEM has become the problem. Our Congress stopped worling for We the People long ago.
Unfortunately, most of the Repubilicans seem hell bent on making sure that citizens become even less consequential to our representatives than they are now.
Let's hope the few Republicans who hae joined the Dems in trying to reverse that trend, are able to convince more of their compatriots to join them.

Are Democrats perfect? No. But their spending is spent inside America, on the middle class and poor. That money gets the economy moving, not giving it to the top 1%. They need to start paying their fair share.

Tax the rich and give it to the middle class and senior citizens. Use it to strenghten social security. Those seniors will spend the money and/or give it to their kids and grandkids who are struggling. It will get the economy going. Time to spread the wealth, not give it all to the top 1% so they can give it to their spoiled grandkids when they die. Its not their money. They made it here in America. Time to give something back. In America, a company exists so that it can both make a profit AND benefits the public. It has to do both. Time to pay your fair share of taxes. Can you show me one union that likes free trade Harry? And clearly since NAFTA we have seen that free market theories greatly benefit the top 1% but haven't been so good for the middle class or poor. Am I mistaken Harry?

And let me remind you Harry how the GOP sold us on free trade in the first place. They said it would give us cheap goods. Clinton also said it would mean jobs. He lied. So is Obama on the Columbia trade deal now, but that is no reason to vote for Romney. Romney's trade deal I'm sure would be much more free and damaging to the American workers, because Bush's were and Romney's no different.

Are the cheap goods worth it Harry? Maybe now that you are old and don't need a job anymore, maybe you benefit from free trade? That is how you swallowed it back in the 90's and have defended it for 2 decades now. Or you said CLINTON SIGNED IT, not realizing HW Bush created it. And that tells you free trade was going to be done no matter which party was in charge. This proves the rich really own both sides of the isle, to some extent. But Harry, the GOP are much worse.

I think before Clinton or Obama or Carter or even Kennedy got the nomination, they had to promise to be business friendly. If not maybe the DNC gives Hillary the nomination in 2008. And Kennedy maybe went too far and business had him offed. And Carter wasn't friendly enough and they sabotaged his re election bid with the whole Iran/Contra deal.

Clinton was a triangulator. He went along on way too much. So business didn't fuck with him. That is why they attacked him with Monica. It was all they had on the guy.

Obama is business friendly, but he is also middle class friendly. Certainly more than Romney.
