From the looks of things, It appears that the policies of the past ten years has had a horrific effect on the Middle Class.

The US used to have a LARGE Middle Class and that Middle Class paid their taxes and supported the growth of the United States. Now, the Middle Class is almost totally trashed and the tax revenue is not there to pay the government bills. And yet, the Rapublican Party wants to reduce taxes on the upper class and the new rich who have benefitted from our very low tax rate.

What do we need to do to correct this horrific mess and recreate a Middle Class again?

What do we need to do? Correct the mistakes of Reaganomics.

It was the greatest redistribution of wealth ever seen.

The low federal income tax rate is (purposefully, IM not-at-all HO) deceptive.

Who is most harmed by immense bureaucracies like the FDA and asinine smoking bans?

Who is hardest hit by things like sales taxes that need to be raised to pay for mandated, yet unfunded, federal programs like Medicare?

The Republican controlled House's seems to have the answer.

Repeals the healthcare law and replace it with nothing so unpaid healthcare bills will continue to be the leading cause of middle class bankruptcy.

Keep income taxes for the rich low to insure that the redistribution of wealth continues.

Cut the budget 1.4%. At that rate it would take only about 40 years to balance the budget.

And of course, read your constitution. There may be other ways to screw the working class.

That my posts make no sense to libruls is nothing new.

It's not like y'all have any clue about unintended consequences, anyways.

Ohh I had plenty of clues about the unintended consequences of invading Iraq.
Globalization and free trade.
Offshoring jobs.
Becoming a debtor nation.
Becoming a consumer spending driven economy.
The credit rampage.
etc.

You left out continuing to offshore jobs.

Yep, plus abolishing most federal regulations, the minimum wage, unemployment insurance, social security, welfare, Medicaid, and Medicare. By removing all social safety nets, it will give the poor more incentive to get jobs that don't exist. Taxes can be cut for the wealthy so they can invest more money in the rapidly growing economics in Europe, China, and India. Once wages in the US have fallen enough, cheap foreign labor will not be problem, and jobs from overseas will come back to America. With low wages, no unions, no costly regulations to protect workers, the environment, or consumers business can grow faster than it has in hundred years.

Yep. That's the murkin dream that everyone has been voting for for decades.

It really is amazing you liberal idiots believe economc policy is the main determinant of who has money.

And it's hard to believe that anyone who is versed in politics would have the gall to put "It's time for another Ronny in the White House." in their sig line given the corruption in his administration and his ruinous economic policies.

You seem to have forgotten these key facts:

National Heath Care will save everyone a lot of money and the new Green Economy will provide jobs for everyone.

Obama's fixing it all, no need to worry.

Cite his "ruinous economic policies" and describe how they harmed the economy?

Describe some of the "corruption in his administration"?

Compare and contrast them with obamas economic policies and explain how obama's are better?

Those that believe in screwing the middle class will never believe anything else.

Republicans are as good at "economics" as they are at "science".

6%

Republicans say, "Raise the retirement age". Yea, I can see the effectiveness of 75 year old policemen and firemen. I want to watch one carry someone out of a burning building. Should be quite "entertaining".

The commentary is LATE!

This should have been required reading back in the 70s.

Right you are.

I mean, back in the 1950's and 60's, everyone in the middle class owned their own homes. All of those homes were air conditioned and were BIG, not like the little cracker boxes they build today!

Back then there was a TV in every room, it wasn't the luxury that it is today, where very few families can afford it. Back then, every family had several cars with mom having a luxury SUV complete with AM/FM/CD, air conditioned with DVD for the kiddies. Not like today where a car is a luxury only for the well to do.

I mean, people had it so easy, they could pick up a phone and call the world without a care, not like today where Ma Bell charges $57 a minute for a call from Los Angeles to New York City. (Inflation adjusted) Back then, even those with modest means could hop on a plane and travel the nation since fierce competition among airlines made flying cheaper than a bus or train. Not like today where only the rich have ever been in an Airplane.

Yep, you lefties sure do have it all figured out...
